Has anyone else experienced Tooth decay after wls? I never had a cavity in my life until this past year.... Now I've had 5!!! Any thoughts?

that's easy---poor calcium absorption and vitamin D deficiency---also magnesium deficiency

most all of the research in this area deals with the effect these have on bones---but the teeth require the same vitamins and minerals----try increasing your doses---especially the magnesium and vitamin D

Yes! I had something very similar happen, but more like 4 years post-op.

The key is not just getting enough calcium but making sure you have the right mix of nutrients in your body at the same time that will help you to ABSORB the calcium.

I think that vitamins are so important (and so blankedy-blank difficult) that I dedicated a whole page to them on my website:

I have had more trouble in this area than any other area. I have finally gotten to a point where I at least feel like I am getting the vitamins/minerals that I need and my recent physical included blood work that agreed with how I feel. Finally! It only took me five years!
