Went to see the pain doc today so I could get my acupuncture appointments ok'd for next year. We had a long discussion and neither one of us are completely satisfied with the results this far. Seing as how the pain clinic my friend is helping out has not acquired the equipment he would like to use for the procedure he feels will best aleaviate my pain my doc thru my HMO wants to retry the procedure I had done in the spring.
The worst that can happen is there wont be any more releif than Ive got now but may gain as much as a year of significant releif. I would love it if that could happen so we will just wait and see. It hasnt been scheduled yet but hopefully it will happen before Christmas.
Until then I will just keep cycling and working thru it best I can.

hmmmm. this doesn't sound like the best news for you, but you've got the right attitude on anyway. Thank you for the update. hope that your friend gets the equipment you need in soon.

Where is that magic wand of mine??? I wish that I could just *poof* make it better for you.
Keep the great attitude and do what you can to make it happen. I know that you can only do so much, but even thinking positive might help out in this situation!

I actually got an email from my friend when I told him about todays developments and decision. He said this was a reasonable asessment and at this point until he gets the equipment he needs is a good choice. The Pulse Radio Frequency Ablation procedure is new to the area of the body we are trying it in. He told me they just dont know how long it will last and how effective it is going to be but is the best choice and chance for releif right now. The good part is there is little chance for permanent damage to the nerve.
I was told to keep riding and training as hard as is comfortable not only for the physical bennifits but mental and emotional. So I will wait for the call from surgery scheduling and hope it is soon.
