There are two things I did pre-op that I am very glad about.
1) Write myself a private letter that I can read any time post-op when I need to remember why I made the decision to have WLS and to get encouragement during the difficult times.
2) Take LOTS of pre-op photos and measurements, including in a swimming suit.
Anyone else have anything they did or are planning on doing pre-op that are intended for post-op success?

Hi TracyJoy
Yes I agree.
I took lots of photos (even some nude, for my eyes only!)
I also kept a video diary for 12 months before my WLS and I still do at least one entry a week on that to keep a record of my emotions and where my head space is.
Even though I am only 10 weeks post op I am so glad I did this as I can go back and play a video diary entry and see how far I have come.
(I went through a very bad patch of food grief post op and was in quite a dark place)

Good ideas!
I have been collecting "before" pictures for years!
I spend a lot of time day dreaming about all of the things I'll be able to do!
Have a great day!
