It was a miserable night and I nearly went to the ER. Nothing wrong with lapband. Horrible, horrible, horrible cramps. It was like being a teenager all over again. Add that to being constipated as all get out. Taking 2 senna at night per MD, drinking 4 oz. organic pear juice/day which another patient suggested while we were all waiting for fills, and finally after 5 days of no action, using ducolox.
Incredible pain and diarrhea.....The pain and whatever from cramps used to cause diarrhea. So I don't know what the real culprit is...probabaly a combination.
I finally ended up taking Percocet that I had from post-op. That and my heating pad kept me out of the ER.
I know I can't take Motrin/advill/etc. If I take tylenol to head it off at the pass (not so bad this AM) then I can't take Percocet until hours later due to tylenol in Percocet.
Is there anything else out there?????????

Sorry to say sweets but if you have cramps so bad that you need to take Percocet...a heavy duty Narcotic pain med then maybe you should go to the doc, the ER whatever. I don't recommend self medicating on this one. Cramps that bad are just not normal!!! Please keep us posted and keep using the heating pad if it helps. A long soak in a hot bath works wonders for me too....but def. see your doc!

My concern is that if you haven't gone in long enough you could be dealing with a blockage, and not know it... it's hard to guess without more "hands on" information... but the fact that you have diarrhea and cramping and still think you're constipated has me worried... You can have diarrhea and still be blocked, and it's dangerous as all get out... so don't let it wait too much longer, ok?
Percocet is terrilbly constipating... if you haven't gone in more than 5 days, you need to either get your hands on something that's almost guaranteed to get you going, or get yourself into the ER if the pain is bad enough to require a narcotic. Frankly, the more I think about it, the more I think you need to get some professional to take a listen to what you're dealing with, how long it's been, and let them figure out your next steps...
Call the doctor... just to be on the safe side... If you can honestly say you're considering going to the ER for intestinal/menstrual cramping then you should perhaps listen to your gut - it's trying to tell you something, and there's a reason for that...

Absolutely! Call your doctor! I agree that if the pain is bad enough to need Percocet then you need to get professional help. Don't delay. Take care of YOU!

When in doubt, going to the doctor is never out of the question. I just had my annual app't and now have a referral to a aurgeon and a gastroenterologist for some things that are bothering me. Get thee to a doctor, tout de suite!

This does sound like a blockage and I would definately have gone to ER. I had this happen 1 year out and it was no fun and nothing to mess with. Please dont ignore pain like that.
