Hi neighbors! Thought I would post a few pics of my new tree. It really is much nicer than the photos but you will get the idea. The close ups are of 30 year old ornaments that we bought for the kids when they first started making Winnie the Pooh ornaments. There is another Pooh with him holding the hunny pot but I thought one Pooh was enough! biggrin.gif

The tree looks great. I love the Pooh ornaments. Looks like you have some pine cones on the tree. I love that look it makes the tree look more natural.

How beautiful celadon! I put up a tree this year for the first time in a very long time. I absolutely love it.
Your Pooh ornaments are a treasure. Just think of those old tired days when we had no energy for
the basics let alone adorning our home with special things to rejoice in the seasons!
I am so grateful for the collective Holiday spirit and daily dose of joy I can always find right here
in the Neighborhood.

Celadon
Mickee, I love the bright colors in your tree! How festive!

Kim, you have a perfect place for the tree, the corner by the stairs really set it off but I have to say I really love the dogs wrapped in garland! I wanted to mention it the first time I saw it but forgot.

Happy Holidays everyone! Share some more trees won't you??????? smile.gif

And aren't things drab when trees and lights come down after the holidays?
Of course, the simplicity is kind of like starting with a clean-ish slate
after all the Holiday broo-ha-ha... Sort of welcome.
Years ago, my husband and I used to though a big annual party in Mid February.
We Called it Winter Picnic. People would come in shorts with tights under them...
Duckie floaties strapped around their waists.... sunglasses... visors...
zinc on their noses.... We'd grill brats out in the snow and play bob for snowballs...
tug of war in the snowy sheep pasture...you get the drift (no pun intended).
A little fun to break up those mid-Winter/ not Spring yet blahhhhhs!
We had some great times at Winter Picnic!

HEY!!!! One POOH is never enough! blush.gif When I get my own place again, I am going to have a strictly classic Pooh tree and another that is all snowmen! I love them both so much. Have you seen the upside down trees that you can put in corners if you have small houses! So cute. I will be decorating the whole house this weekend including putting up the big tree. We bought a small one for mom's sewing table so that we didn't have to take it down and maybe have a bigger place to stash all the presents. My niece and baby nephew were so excited that that tree is already up and decorated with lights and some small ornaments that my niece is starting to collect. I have two big rooms to decorate this weekend and a 10 foot tree! Got to cut it down first from bro's yard where dad planted lots of trees so that we didn't have to buy any for awhile. Will be doing lots of thinking of him this weekend as well, as he loved the moving lights when the house was decorated! I wish I knew of someone with a camera cell phone to take pics for me so that I could post. It is quite an eyefull!
