I heard from Brightie and got her package off on Tuesday. The US Postal Service assures me that it will be in beautiful New Zealand BEFORE Christmas. All I know is that if it doesn't get there, I will beat my hubbie with a stick (he is an ET at the main post office here {electronics technician} and keeps those postal machines cranking out the bar codes so ALL the mail goes out in a timely fashion)!!!!!!

Hi Jewel,
Just a note to let you know that I was able to finally get to the post office today and send off your gift. I sent it "International Express" and they tell me it will take between 7 - 10 days to get to you. I hope it gets there before Xmas but if it doesn't I am really sorry about that.
Cheers

Hi Celadon,
I came home to another huge parcel from the Us of A today!! Thanks so much for the lovely gifts. The address book et al are really timely cause I need a new one and love the shopping list as well. They are so pretty too.
I really love the turbo mixer. David was only complaining last night how he is sick of having to wash the blender all the time!! So, this will make life much easier especially since our blender is attached to the food processor as well so it really is a chore to get it in and out of the cupboard all the time.
Thanks so much and a special thanks to your husband who must have made sure the mail was going through in high, high speed last week!!
Have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year. The same goes for all of you in "the hood".

MisterWLS - I sent your box of fun out to you this evening. You should have it by the weekend! Hope you like it!
Darien - OMG. I came home from work today to a box on the stoop. To my surprise - it was the best thing EVER. A purple pashmina!!!!! Yippeeeee. Purple is my favorite color. My only regret from the time I lived in NYC, was never buying myself a purple pashmina from a street vendor. You have helped fill that regret/ void! Thank you soooo much. I love it. I am so looking forward to wearing and it will help keep me warm this winter! Thank you!

Today was my LUCKY day at the post office!!! First I received PattyO's Key Ring Swap -- Next -- the Quickie Swap from Lynn P!
Lynn treated me to me
ALL TIME favorite Starbucks Christmas blend and ornaments to match. The ornaments are already hanging on the tree looking perfect because this year it is done in red and white. And the beans are ready for the grinder first thing in the morning. Lynn, you are so generous and thoughtful and thank you also for the Foundation Member donation. I truly appreciate you and all you bring to the Neighborhood. Thanks for the excellent gift and for your friendship.

Gretchen (gjasek): Your gift will be in the mail tomorrow - I wanted to select a little something extra when I was in town today, so I am past deadline, but trust me, your gift comes with love and friendship.
Hope everyone is having fun with this "Quickie Swap".

I received mine from Michele 'msgief' yesterday. Cute snowman kitchen towel set and a wooden standing map of the great state of Ohio. Michele couldn't have known, but I was born in that state -- she and her husband have done time and Wright-Patterson AFB near Dayton, and that's where my dad was stationed when I was born. So I'm very pleased with and touched by the gift. Thank you, Michele!

Today, I received a big box of gorgeous handmade goodies from Meliss in Texas!
Meliss, you do beautiful work and I HAD to take a pic for the neighbors to see
the great Hawaiian florals! BEEEEEEEutiful! I'm going to love using them knowing
too, that there are great vibes coming from a fellow old hippie chick!
Wonderful sentiments on the card too.
MANY Thanks!!!!!

Aloha Jewel (arealgem),
Santa made his delivery!!!!!
Thankyou for the soft red kitchen towel and the (my goodness I can't think of what to call it) snowmen hanging deco thing..................I love it, hung it up immediately.........................smiling. The carrot noses are so adorable and being that I won't be making any snowmen any time soon in San Antonio, your gift is so appreciated.

I jealous you guys up north can go out and play in the snow.
The heart ornament I really really love because I can hang it all year round. Everytime I glance at it I will think of you. I in fact hung it next to the pictures of my children. It is not going to be packed away after Christmas.
Mahalo, thank you so very much.

Barbara S! I am so thrilled by my gift! You were so generous and the necklace is just beautiful! I will have to get Jake to take a picture of me wearing it. It is so delicate and pretty. You are very talented.
The rest of the multiple gifts included little New Zealand memoribilia which just thrills me! She sent me an apron and pot holder and a spoon rest all decorated with New Zealand. There was also a kiwi pen. How on earth did you know that I obcessively collect ink pens? There was also a beautiful card that I am quite sure was handmade by our Barbara S with a lovely personal note.
Thanks so much for this very unexpected surprise. Quite a lovely gift.

Hi Jewel,
I am glad that you liked the cross-stitch. Sorry to have taken so long to reply to your post but we have been away since Xmas and I didn't have access to a computer. Surprising in this day and age!!
I hope you found a good frame for it.
Happy New Year to you and your family.
