I set a goal when I had surgery of 185 pounds by Christmas. When I set this goal, I didn't think it was very realistic but I set the goal anyway to have something to work toward. Imagine my amazement when I stepped on the scale this morning and it read 185 pounds! biggrin.gif I had to step off and back on again to be sure! I may not have lost as quickly as some, but at my age, I feel that 4 1/2 months is a very short time to lose 75 pounds! So, I am going to be grinning like an idiot all day long today!

Happy Monday everybody!

Do you realize just how excellent this is??? You followed the rules...you got the results. Amazing! You are what the newbies NEED to see. You are a great example of how to really work this tool. Absolutely Brilliant!

Nothing can stop you now Baby! Keep focused on good & healthy habits. Eating your meals, exercising and...hmm...how are those vitamins coming along???

Celadon
Kim, I hope everyone knows what a gem you are! I can't believe that you remember my struggles in the beginning with my vitamins. I still forget them once in a while but I am truly doing much, much better. Thanks for all your support and help along the way!

Aloha Barbara,

Can't help but grin along with you.........................my heart just bursting with joy for you.

Yes, this is what newly post ops need to read, following the rules is the key. There is no getting around it. And this new way of living, this new way of eating is for life.

The key is to keep doing what is working for you.

You got the eating part down pat, now it's working on the head stuff. I know you can do it. You are a strong woman for your family, save some of that strength for yourself for the days ahead in your life so as you can keep being successful in this life after WLS.

Our surgery is not a joke, it takes hard work and determination to be successful. It takes commitment to lose as much as you did in the short time you did. I can imagine how hard it was for you being that you kept cooking for your family and with the holidays and all. But, I know you did this surgery for you, for your health and for a better life. And girl, you doing it. And you did well!

Whatever you doing keep doing it. Except of course take your vitamins more regularly. I am guilty of this too. But, as we age we need the vitamins and minerals to stay healthy. Nothing like our creaky old bones falling apart.....................smiling.

Suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuupah duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuupah hugs of aloha being sent to you.

Thank you so much dear Meliss. love0028.gif It means so much that you are so supportive of me. To everyone actually that replies to my questions and food posts and just plain ramblings blush.gif that I tend to do too often! I have never felt so much compassion and such a sense of community as I do here in the neighborhood so all of you just need to give yourselves a pat on the back!

Well done Celadon. Thats a great achievement especially 3 weeks ahead of schedule! I know that its a particularly good goal for you since you haven't found things easy at times. Pleased to hear that things have settled down for you now.

I too am heading for a target but I set mine for New Year's day. I want to be 90kg (198lb) by then. I have 4.8kg (11lb) to go with 4 weeks to do it in. Hope I can do it. I'm sure I can. Then I'll have a big grin on my face all day too.

Keep up the great work and thank you so much for your wonderful contributions to the neighbourhood love0028.gif

Way to go Celadon
