Hi All,

I have been ill for about a week now - went to my PC last Thursday & was diagnosed with a sinus infection...that is better, but I have also been experiencing terrible night sweats for about the last week. Awful, wake up freezing & soaking wet night sweats - you get the gory picture...

Anyway, I went to work today, but left around 2 to see my PC again...I really feel bad. Very tired & cold, no real appetite, etc. I also lost 3 1/2 lbs last week - which now, as NEVER before in my life, I can see as a lot.

My blood work from Thursday came back normal for the most part except for my thyroid...being retested now, but PC seems to think I may have hyperthyroid - for which there will be some medication that should straighten me out.

Has anyone else had this experience? I don't have any family members on my side with this problem - my husbands family is full of thyroid issues - but I was wondering if it could be related to WLS in any way? There have been so many dramatic changes to my body over the last few months, almost all of which have been SOOOOOO positive, but could this be a side effect?

Just wondering - and I will deal no matter what. I wouldn't change the surgery for anything, but this was something that came at me out of the blue.

Thanks to everyone!

Lee I want you to know you are NOT alone. I've been dealing with thyroid issues since I was 16. I'm going up to bed soon but I'll post more for you tomorrow. . .
