Kaye
Hi Everyone -- I posted this little concoction on a different thread, and BeJean "Jeanie" has a similar recipe for our new cookbook. Thought I'd share it here:

Kaye's Skinny Juice
Since cranberries have been availalble I've been making my skinny juice which is a package of cranberries, juice of a couple of oranges (lemons or limes work too), 4 cups of water and 1 cup of sugar. Simmer this in a pot until the berrries pop. Allow to cool and then process in batches in the blender or food processor. This is a highly concentrated drink so I fill ice cube trays and freeze - then take two out and mix with 2 quarts of water. It can be enjoyed cold, or brew with a bag of green tea. Tasty and body cleansing!

I use real sugar because by the time it is finally diluted to drink the sugar is trace amounts and I think the other sweetners give the berries an "off" taste. If cranberries are out of season get concentrate from the freezer section (no sugar added) and make your own blend. You can also add cinnamon and cloves during the initial cooking.
Celadon
You can also buy frozen cranberries or use blueberries which are yummy too. I usually don't add sugar until I am going to drink it and then add Splenda. Obviously, this is a drink I am familiar with! wub.gif
