My oldest son announced his engagement a few months ago, but has been dragging his feet on the date. Well, he told us this week that the date will be September 20, so now I've got MORE good times coming this year. Both sons well married and happy makes me feel like life is pretty good right now.

So mild celebration was in order last night and this weekend. Then back to reality until the fall...

Sandi, it is a great thing to know that your grown children are settled. September is a beautiful late summer/early fall month and I know that you will all be content once everything is accomplished. Weddings can be very hectic but the result is knowing that your son will be well and happy. Congratulations!

Thanks you guys! It IS wonderful that both of my boys will be happy and settled, and that for now, everyone is close to me (just how I always craved, but never dreamed possible). There is nothing in this world that makes me feel as peaceful as knowing that they have found their soul mates, and that they never have to walk through life alone. My oldest son has been so lonely for the past couple of years, and the girl he's found is a perfect match. He is so peaceful, so content. The love going around in my family is just absolutely silly. And it makes me feel so grateful. I'm sorry to go on and on, but I will never be able to explain how amazed and grateful I am.

So happy for the family Sandi! And Kim's right! Getting grandchildren is beyond
description! I know, I know... that's putting the cart WAY before the horse!
But mark my words! Good things are soon to come! My son is 31 and has
yet to even have a close brush with a sustained partner. I'd sure love

You guys don't let me keep going on this. I'm absolutely doofy about it. And grand babies?!?! I'll be happy to have grand PETS!!! *laughing* I think my I and my dh shall be known as either "Granny and PopPop" or "Granma Cookie and Grandpa Bigfoot." Time will tell, and I won't dwell on the joys of the future too much for now. Last night Fdil and I spent a pleasant time looking at tuxedos together and being very silly. AHHHHhhhh, more girls in my life! I'm a lucky woman. We're planning a little "tea party" to look at all the dresses, cakes, flowers, etc. and you are ALL invited!!! Oh my gosh. I'd go ape if you came. Let's plan it for the 2nd Saturday in February. Y'all come now, you heah?
