Hey Ceallaigh!
OK, Another Scot/Irish descendent here...
Hypoglycemia can be disabling or deadly, so be careful. My blood sugar has been known to dip to 35 before I notice. I recently found out that I have a condition known as nesidioblastosis. It causes hypoglycemia and no, it is NOT dumping syndrome.
Medical News: Rare Complication Leaves Gastric Bypass Patients Almost Disabled - in Gastroenterology, Pancreatic Diseases from MedPage Todayhttp://www.medpagetoday.com/Gastroenterolo...iseases/tb/1399I am still trying to control it by diet but the insulin production is erratic, making control by diet very difficult. Medications and surgery come with side effects and complications I hope to avoid.
Wanted to warn y'all. Take that hypoglycemia seriously!
