WOW all i can say is thank you thank you thank you for all your WONDERFUL posts about hypoglycemia and your experiences . It is so good to know that others share my wierdness :) my blood sugar usually drops to 65 but the last big one was 58.....My doctor said to come in when this hits but i dont know about you; but you kinda dont have a schedule for when this is going to happen, and just try making a same day appointment. My little episode at work cost me A lot of money! its so frustrating. I'll definately have to get my bootie down to my pcp again. if anyone else has anything to say on the matter PLEASE keep posting. Thanks again guys! love0028.gif

I agree Kelli! What did I do for 5 years post-op with no one.....NO ONE to consult with???!
Crazy stuff.
I noticed your Irish prayer... I also have a bit'o'Wales in me DNA and love this Anonymous
Welsh ditty... a bit less charitable but hey...

"May those who love us love us. And those who don't love us-- may God turn their hearts. And if He cannot turn their hearts, may He turn their ankles, so that we may know them by their limping." cool0010.gif

You gotta love the way the Irish/Scots and Celts handle their faith in a higher power...

"God help me love 'em. If not, help me deal with 'em. If not, help me get away from 'em or beat the crap out of 'em!" What a people!!!! (my heritage too)

"May those who love us love us. And those who don't love us-- may God turn their hearts. And if He cannot turn their hearts, may He turn their ankles, so that we may know them by their limping."--lifted from Mickee's post.
no escape from reality
Hey Ceallaigh!

OK, Another Scot/Irish descendent here...

Hypoglycemia can be disabling or deadly, so be careful. My blood sugar has been known to dip to 35 before I notice. I recently found out that I have a condition known as nesidioblastosis. It causes hypoglycemia and no, it is NOT dumping syndrome.

I am still trying to control it by diet but the insulin production is erratic, making control by diet very difficult. Medications and surgery come with side effects and complications I hope to avoid.

Wanted to warn y'all. Take that hypoglycemia seriously!
