Hey everyone... I started the 5 day pouch test today to drop a few pounds..I am post op Gastric Bypass a year and a half- down about 184 pounds since surgery and Im wanting to drop them last pounds or so... I was wondering, on day one and two-what do ya'll think about applesauce?? Id love to hear any input!!! thanks !! action-smiley-065.gif

I'd say no...only because it isn't a liquid. I stuck with anything that could be sucked up a straw. Protein shakes, V-8 juice, water...oh, and sugar free Jello...if it was melted down, it could come up the straw too!!!

I agree with Kim, but for different reasons. Applesauce is carbs - basically straight sugar.

I look at the 5dpt like this - it's getting me back to basics. Protein, protein, protein. If it's not protein, I don't need to be eating it. No carbs, no "fluff." Our pouch is small, you need to eat foods that give you the most nutrition in the smallest amounts.
