One week down and ~8# down! I am amazed at how commitment to the 5dpt has "trained" my habit to watching the clock, and monitoring my fluid intake and timing! The extreme craving for carbs is gone (for now...I know it can sneak back in!) and I am noticing quite a bit more energy. I do have a question....does anyone have any suggestions for a fiber supplement that is mild. I believe the decrease in carbs has caused constipation!

I think there's a SF Fiber chewable tablet that works...haven't taken it in a while but it has about 4g fiber in either 1-2 tabs...tastes good too...dang it, I wish I could remember the name of it....Fiber Choice?????...come on someone, chime in here...

tongue0022.gif I also try and eat a FiberOne bar daily, it has 9g fiber 9g sugar and 3g protein 150 calories...you may want to try these if you aren't afraid of the sugar/carbs...with this bar I don't really worry about them b/c of it's high fiber content...You may wanna incorporate an apple into your daily food intake...it's loaded with natural fiber...add some pb and you get some protein too....Blessing!

I find that Senecot-S or just plain senna works great. OR...my all time favorite...FiberOne cereal. Eat a quarter cup of those little twigs with some of your protein. Makes for a great meal!

I vote for the twigs. Supplements are great if we can't eat enough food to get the requirements in but fiber is an easy fix. Most people don't care for Fiber One when eaten as cereal but when you throw a handful on your salad instead of croutons and a handful in your yogurt in the morning, before you know it you are regular as can be!
