Dee
Hi everyone,
I am planning on starting the 5dpt again tomorow. Since having done it 1 before I know it may give me a headache. I read were some of you are taking emergen c. I went to walli world to get some supplies, but could not for the life of me find this product. Is there a special place I should buy it? Thanks for any ideas.

Lee, I found it at wally world in the vitamin c section by the pharmacy...

Maybe a pharmacy near you would have it?
Kim
My grocery store carries it, Trader Joe's, Costco...just about anywhere they sell vitamins! Did you ask for assistance? Maybe you were in the wrong section?

When I had a headache on the 5DPT, I drank a V-8 juice. Took care of it for me!

I get my Emergen C at Trader Joe's.
lee
They carry it at Walgreens too.
Dee
I dont have a Trader joe's round here. I would have asked for assistance but the pharmacy was closed. I will try walgreens and there is 1 by my house on the way to work in the morning! Also I bought some rtd protien shakes. They are EAS, has anybody tried these. I got them bc they were cheaper than atkins and had more protien. I dont usually like rtd shakes, or ones that I have made myself for that matter. The powder always seems so gritty to me. Guess I need to invest in a better powder than what I got on sale at gnc that day. Its just catching dust in my cabinet right now! Thanks for the info guys.
Kim
I'm not fond of EAS...hold your nose and choke it down! Be sure that it's super cold, as that helps out some!
BeJean
I've not tried EAS drinks, but really didn't like their bars. Good luck with it, Dee.
tamee
what is EAS?

Is EMERGEN-C a fizzy drink? My surgeon says absolutely under no circumstances are we supposed to have any carbonation. Do the bubbles subside? I've never tried it, but it sounds like a great supplement. I'd appreciate any info. I JUST found this board and it's great. I had surgery about 2 years ago and am starting to struggle sad0049.gif

barbiemom,
Welcome to the neighborhood! sign0016.gif
Good question! I've wondered about the bubbles myself.

Kim
It is fizzy, but if you stir it around, it goes away...sort of like an Alka Setzer tablet. I mix mine in about an inch of water.
Celadon
Just goes to show you how different we all are. The only rtd protein I can stomach is EAS Advantage. The regular has too many carbs but the Advantage is a carb control product. I agree with Jeannie, the protein bars are awful but I have the drink at least once a day.

The best investment you'll make Dee is here, at www.cheapvitamins.com
do a search for CytoSport Muscle Milk. It is finely milled and mixes great.
GNC carries it for $59-$69 for a 3lbs tub. cheapvitamins.com has it for
$18.60 plus $7 shipping... @ $25 shipped! The vanilla is a great start
in that you can add flavors and fruits to it. IT IS WELL WORTH THE INVESTMENT! nature-smiley-001.gif
Damon highly recommends this product. It works... it tastes fabulous and
is smooth as silk. period.... www.cheapvitamins.com
It is similar to Isopure which I like too but haven't found a discounted source for.

[/quote] Hmmm, so it IS or ISNT fizzy sad0017.gif . I have an email into to my surgeon's nurse prac to see if it's on our DO or DONT list. I know we cant do Alka Seltzer,etc..it sounds like such a good product. I'll see what he says and advise. Thanks for the support. I'm a newbie to this forum, etc, but 2 years post-op (and struggling tooooooooooooo).
