I have just found this site - On day 2 of the 5dpt and so far doing well. (I am a regainer lost 174lbs and regained 60 of it) so hoping this helps ..so far so good.

Although I am having withdrawls from eating crunchy things...in the beginning I used to eat a lot of pork rinds - low carbs high protien - but I see now this is a slider food =( not good.

I can not eat raw veggies - make my stomach hurt (how sad is that and I love them )
nor can I eat anything really cold.

I was thinking of trying the Zone bars - I remember in the beginning that I ate them as a snack during the day .... they are crunchy and yummy

What do you all think? Any suggestions welcome.

Thanks
Aries

Well, you asked...LOL! laughing-smiley-011.gif

Finish the 5dpt and see if your cravings don't cease. I KNOW snacking was the reason I gained weight in the first place. So, I'm trying to stick to 3 meals a day (with maybe one SMALL [50 CALORIE] snack). If you can get your cruncy fix during a meal, great! However, I'd stay away from trying to get your crunchy fix by snacking - it's a great way to add to many calories to your diet and end up gaining weight. (sound familiar?)

Okay, you said any suggestions were welcome...here is my silly one.

I LOVE crunchy things...so, to deal with not snacking, esp during the 5dpt, I semi-freeze c-light and eat it that way. I get crunch, and no regrets after...

Crunchy things uuuuhhhh - it is day 3 for me and I fell for the crunchy call! sad0049.gif Before I knew it I was in the pantry and found some high protein chips that I purchased from Susan Marie's Bariatric Eating web-site. I don't know if they were so terrible or not so I am not recommending them but it sure did take away my crunchy call. Does anyone know if this was a big no no? 110 cal 3.5 g of fat 14 carbs 10 protein. I guess it was better than pretzels, popcorn or potatoe chips but would it still be considered slider foods?

I have to say something about the Baked Tilapia Recipe from Kim Stover - what a hit! Last night it was the Pumpkin Sausage soup that was a hit, husband loved them also. These two recipes have made me decide to order the cookbook.
