Darien has arrived!!!

Please post your wonderful words to Darien in this space...I'm going to print it out and take it to her tomorrow (Friday)...so it will be like having a "Get Well/Congrats Card" from the entire Neighborhood!

Darien...I just want you to know that both you and your son are in my prayers. I woke up early this am to potty and you& your surgery immediately came to mind....I prayed and back off to slumberland I went...

I am just thrilled to you to this side of the fence! May your recovery be uncomplicated, short, and speedy!
Once you are able to have liquids remember to SIP SIP SIP that water and know that we are all thinking of you and wishing you only the best! Looking forward to seeing your first post-wls "post"....you gotta love some of the miracles of modern medicine, huh???(ie...wls itself and pain meds if needed!)

Congratulations, and I can't wait to read your first post-op post. Take care of yourself and write as soon as you can.

Welcome to the other side, Darien. Hope that this finds you well and able to sit up and walk the halls. We're all thinking of you, hoping the best. Don't be afraid to swallow your meds. Don't be afraid to use the pain pump if you need it. Your body will heal faster if you're not suffering with pain. Remember, small steps, small sips.

Can't wait until you're back in the hood posting!

Hey all! I just called Kathy (Darien's friend) to see if Darien was up for a visitor...and Darien was the one that answered the phone! She sounded just as chipper as ever and is loving being on this side of things! She's had a little shower and is eating some SF jello...might as well be at Club Med, I tell ya! She says that the staff is super nice and she even got a private room...so party on Darien! I'm leaving in about 15 minutes, so if you want to say "howdy", post here...I'll print it out at 11:30 pst.

Hi!! I'm back...

Darien looked great! She even had a bit of make-up on...now THERE is a girl after my own heart! She was having lunch...broth and Jello...yum! We had ourselves a nice little visit and I gave her the print out of this thread. She was very thankful to have it and all of your support She should be home tomorrow night, so look for her post!
