Hi I'm Evon,
I had the gastric bypass 4 years ago - I started at 343 and lost 120 pounds. I flex 15-20 pounds. It finally stayed on....I'm going to try the 5 day pouch test. It sounds like it really works....any other suggestions.
Thanks everyone...this is awesome!
It's really great that you are catching the weight gain so early. The 5dpt will help you get back on track. Take a look at what you have been eating every day. You will probably find alot of slider foods and carb rich foods in your diet. Eliminate those and concentrate instead on getting protein in everything besides water that you consume and the weight will come off. Good luck. There is lots of support here. Read and post often.

HI Evon and welcome!
I just got done with my day 5 (yesterday) and it really works. It gets you back in tune with your pouch. When I eat now I dont rush and I 'listen' to my pouch. I will admit day 1 and day 3 were not so easy for me but I made it and lost 7lbs! You can do it too.
Look at the recipies that go with the 5dpt,,,,the soups are delish!!!!

Hi there,
I'm on day 5 of the dpt and going strong. The first 2 days were hardest for me, but now I am doing fine.
I am 3 1/2 years out and used to flucuate 10 pounds. Now it has become 30...and has stayed that way.
Hope we both win with our losses! Good luck
Welcome!!

I think the 5dpt would be a great place to start. It will help you regain control and get that extra weight bk off. There are lots of articles to read. ck out the library too.

Lots of support here.. so post often.

Hi and welcome to the n'hood! I am almost 5yrs post op...will be next month...and I too am working on regaining CONTROL and shedding those regained lbs...I have done the 5dpt 2x...1x in November and again in Jan...it is so helpful!
If carbs are an issue for you (or if you even think they may be) I strongly recommend the soups for days 1&2 in the 5dpt...they are soooooooo good! I love the Pumpkin and Sausage 1 so much that I made it for dinner last nite, dh loves it too!
Just be sure you are drinking all of your water, taking all your supplements, and eating protein, protein, protein...you will do great!!!! Keep us posted on your progress....
