It's the end of day one and I only had one small slip up.
I ate a mini pumpkin/banana muffinafter my soup supper.
All in all I think I did pretty good. I drank all my water, stuck to the liquids (except the muffin) and walked for 30 minutes. Now I'm going to take a multivitamin (something I haven't done since a couple months after my surgery) and call it a day. I must say it wasn't nearly as hard as I thought it would be. Tomorrow is a new day and I will get though it, just like today, with the help of my new found support system.
I can't believe how much I am relying on you people I don't even know. I am usually not a joiner, but somehow this feels right. Lola

Good to hear that day 1 went pretty well for you. Same here and I am also really glad to have some "buddies" on this journey.
Good luck tomorrow!

Hi Gals,
I am to the end of Day 1 also. I was asked to make a fruit salad for an event that occurs tomorrow. And, I took a bite without even thinking. But that's darn good for the day, don't you think?
I'm going to bed soon, have had a nasty headache all day long. See you tomorrows.

Lola!
Way to go on Day 1!!! I give you an A+++ so don't you put too much worry into that mini muffin. Get some good rest and tomorrow will be great. Now, if you get a carb withdrawal headache remember to eat a piece of fruit (orange, apple, berries) or take a dose of Emergen-C which should relieve the symptoms. I'm glad you have decided to join us and look forward to your updates.
Kressy -- Good job for you too! I would have tasted the fruit salad too. It is nice to see you back in the N'Hood.

I find it is hard to remember to not eat while cooking. I'm on day 2 and yesterday I licked my finger after I spilled my daughter's yogurt on it. At first I was annoyed with my inability to remember that licking food off things wasn't part of days 1 through 5, then I realized that it is a habit I have to break.
Sounds like we were all successful and better off today then last week. :-)
