Lola, I'd have to agree (NOT that you're pathetic! LOL! - with the advice already given). First, congrats on admitting it. BUT, I think you may be looking at the 5dpt for all the wrong reasons. This isn't a diet. It's a tool to get us back in control of our pouch and to eliminate the carb monster. If you are on the 5dpt to lose weight, then it's just going to be another attempt at another diet (like the hundreds before that we've all tried). If you're here to get back in control, to re-introduce yourself to your pouch and to make sure you can get back on track, you wouldn't be "cheating." You can't "cheat" at control - you either are or you aren't. You're either ready or you aren't.
That being said, I TOTALLY understand. It took me a long while to find this place and I was SOOOO out of control. However, had I found it back when I was having my worst issues, I'm not sure I would have been ready to take the steps necessary to get back in control. I had a lot going on (stress wise) and carbs were my comfort. I honestly don't know if I could have managed to let them go. If it's not the right time, it's not the right time. When the time is right, you will be ready and you won't cheat.
Here's a thought. If you want to do this, start over...BUT...make sure to have everything on hand that you need. Protein drinks, sf jello, soups, etc. (I personally made 3 of the soups and didn't do protein drinks at all - with 3 soups, there was enough variety that I didn't get bored). THEN, when you want to cheat, grab something that you have on hand - another serving of soup, a SF jello, a SF pudding, whatever it will take for you to stay on the plan.
