Well three weeks out and my insicion still hurts like h*ll. The Dr. said today in another couple weeks he will try to stitch it together, as my biggest problem is when I roll over it keeps opening and closing, the pain is quite intense. He still won't release me to do anything, which I'm not arguing with as it hurts just to walk. Good news is I've lost 25 pounds.

I also have a question about the Special K2O protein water mix. Anybody using it? If so do you count it as part of your water intake? I'm really having to battle getting the protein and water in. I found something called New-Whey liquid protein with 42g of protein 0 sugar and 0 fat with 176 calories for 3.1 oz. I found it on the GNC website. I won't lie to you it tastes terrible, it comes in orange and fruit punch. I look at it as taking medicine and its worth it for the amount of protein you get.

At least I get to go 2 weeks before I see the Dr. again, yeah as its almost 50 miles.

Denise, first, hang in there and make sure that the doctor does something to take care of your pain. It will get better, I just know it will.

I have tried the water you are talking about and I just don't care for it but if you like it, by all means, drink it. You will get 5 grams of protein per bottle I think. It should be counted as water cause that is what it is. The bit of added protein is just a bonus.

Denise, I hope that you start healing up soon. I had one really painful incision as well and it is quite draining to be in that much pain on the time. Hang in there it will start healing. Kudos to you for getting your protein in even if it isn't in the most pleasant form. You are right you are fueling your body and you have to give it what it needs even if it isn't yummy.

Take care!

According to my program, protein water counts as both protein and water. Milk can be counted towards protein and fluid intake. Every program is different. If the protein water is low calorie, I would count the 5 grams of protein and the ounces of water towards your daily totals.

I agree w/ Marla. That is how my program says it.

I hope you get well soon!! And I would count it as water and protien. God bless you and good luck

Hi Denise!
Hope you are feeling better today.

Good to follow Dr.s orders about your activity level.
Our bodies all heal differently.

The protein water can be counted as water and protein.
My Husband has a no-flavor protein liquid that he adds to his
waters and drinks every day to get his count up.

Welcome to the melting side!! cool0012.gif
