Hi! Well, my surgeon's office submitted everything to the insurance company TODAY and ever since hearing that I have had moments where I'm sure I'm going to be sick. I did really well through the whole six months as I was actively pursuing everything I had to do; structured diet programs, psyche eval, nut eval, etc. But this just sitting and waiting is making me crazy and it is only evening on day one! A few weeks ago, I asked my insurance company how quickly they turned around a response and they said generally within 24-48 hours (though my surgeon's office seemed doubtful when I told them that). Could I call the insurance company Monday? Or do I just need to sit down, shut up and wait?

Okay, stop and relax. Celebrate...you have done the past 6 months SUCCESSFULLY!!! You have done all that they have asked for...now you must be patient. I am not a patient person...so I understand how hard that is.
Let us know as soon as you do please!!!! I am so excited for you!

At least 'til Tuesday. Then you can start nagging....!!
Keep breathing... keep smiling... and you'll be just fine!!!

I just wanted to encourage you that all will be when it is meant to be....no amount of frustration or anxiety will "hurry" things up for you...I say give it until next week and then just do what you gotta do...In the meantime take both Marianna's and Darrie's advice, because it's good!
Can't wait to hear when you're crossing over the "line"....keep us posted!
Blessings!

Darrie, you do amuse me. Proud to have you as my arrival date partner!
Hang in there, Kimbre. It will all happen so fast you won't know what hit you.

10 years from now, it won't matter whether you sat there and stewed or whether you got out and were productive with you last days pre op. So, how do you want to spend this time? My motto: do what you can, and let the rest take care of itself.
Having said this, I sure do send you hugs. I know it ain't easy. Hope you find some very diverting naughty books to read until the phone calls and letters arrive!

Thanks for the words. It's just so hard to wait and let someone else decide on my life for me. I'd say God was trying to teach me patience, but I think he was trying to do that when we adopted kids!

Well see there? You are an adoptive parent. I guarantee you had to have patience doing that! And look at the outcome! No gift is greater than that of a child. The next best gift is health. When all is said and done, you will have that too. Relax and take it one day at a time!
