Hi everyone,
I am on day 2 and was making the split pea and ham soup. I put it on to simmer and came back in 30 minutes to a burnt mess. The recipe only calls for 16 oz of broth and 2 cups of water. I don't think this can be right. I added 4 cups more water, gave it a taste and had hard split peas.

Anyone know how much water should have been in it?

thanks

PS. the Black Bean soup was the best soup I have EVER tasted. I made Bean and Barley too, but Black Bean far surpasses it. In my opinion.

i'm making it as we speak. I always have to keep an eye on it and add extra water - although I couldn't tell you how much.
