Hello... I just recently found this site by accident and have read much of what is here.. I think this is great!
Altho, I can't seem to find people, like myself who have had surgery 5+ years ago. I'm interested in talking to people who had it around the same time as me. I had WLS Aug of 2002 and lost 140 lbs. I'm currently on Optifast trying to lose the last amount of weight and some that I had unfortunately gained back. I'm feeling GREAT again as I have lost 20 lbs in almost 3 weeks.

I'm Julie also known as SUNSHINE in the hood. 4 years post op. -125 lbs and keeping it off. Also, trying to get another 20 lbs off as I still weigh too much on my 5'2" frame. In my opinion that is.

Hi and welcome to the neighborhood! There are lots of people here that are five years post-op and more. Click on the members button in the top right of the screen and you can view peoples profiles. That should tell you how long ago they had their surgery. Also, whenever anyone posts, their window tells their 'arrival' date and that should be the date they had surgery.

Here's wishing you the success you are looking for. You have made a terrific start by already losing 20 pounds! Hope to see you around the neighborhood often!
