The first link explains how protein powder is made and how some are not vegan because of the rennet.

There are more flavors than what the links take you to .... this was just to give people the name of the powders. I've not tried any of them, so I can't offer an opinion about them.

It is amazing how much information exists in the world and to be able to tap into it so easily is an awesome thing. When I was in school we used a card catalog to find books on what we were researching! nature-smiley-001.gif

Thanks for the links. I am not a vegetarian nor am I planning to become one because I like seafood and chicken too much and goodness knows I wouldn't survive without eggs! However, I have noticed that so many people here really would like to follow a more vegetarian plan so in the new Holiday Cookbook that we are working on now, we have added an entire section on vegetarian dishes. 24 recipes in total. Some are also vegan dishes.

Bev,

Thanks for posting these websites, I really appreciate it. As a vegetarian for more than 20 years I am often searching for alternatives
to standard foods, especially as a post-op WLS'er. I will check out these sites and look at my local health food store for a veg protein
powder.

Celadon,

I'm glad that you are including a veg section in your new cookbook: 24 new vegetarian recipes is exciting! Thanks for posting this
info.
