I've had some serious issues as of late with my WLS life---kinda of the mind now that I wish I had never done this...
but that is beside the point.....
I've learned from research that the malabsorption issues of RNY can play havoc with our bodies---sending us into severe malnutrition---which I'm facing right now
I've talked on my blog about the multiple supplements we really need to be taking---not just the regular prescribed multi-vitamin, calcium, B-12, and iron
anyway--to make sure you are not having any difficulties with malnutrition yourself---my most recent blog post has a list of lab work that needs to be done every 3-6 months to make sure you are getting in the proper nutrients--
be proactive in your own care--don't just beleve it when the doc tells you your labs are fine---know what they are drawing to be sure.......
your vitamin regimen will be based on these labs
