There was a chart that I copied and pasted that didn't make it intact and was impossible to read. So here is the link again for the website:
http://www.holisticmed.com/sweet/
They have information relating to Splenda:
http://www.holisticmed.com/splenda/
And aspartame:

And more information, if you are interested.
Disclaimer: I don't have any specific knowledge of this website and it's credibility.

Thanks Bev!
On yesterdays thread about Apsertame, I was convinced that I do not use that much (packets anyway - LOL)
Well, low and behold I realized that I drink SF Decaf Ice Tea all day long!
Yikes....
What's a girl to do?
Not sure if I want to go cold turkey! *slapping forehead*

Until I did the 5 day I hadn't had artificial sweetener in a very, very long time. Since then (a week and a half ago) I've been having a lot. Aside from protein powder, it is the only thing I've added to my diet that wasn't there previously so I'm wondering if it has caused me to feel ravenously hungry today! I don't like the aftertaste and my tongue feels swollen. So, I'm going to have to figure out an alternative I can live with so that I don't feel deprived for the rest of my life.
Anyway, if anyone has similar concerns - this list looks worth checking out.

hmmmm. Very interesting reading! I'll have to wipe the dust off that old bottle of Stevia. I notice an aftertaste when I use it in tea. I haven't really used it for anything else before...I may have to find unsweetened protein powder and try mixing the Stevia with it. I'll be interested to see if you notice a difference in your hunger levels after you make the switch back Bev. I don't know of any protein bars that you could use without artificial sweeteners in them.
If you can cook with Stevia, or one of the alternates the site suggests, you could attempt to make your own protein bars. I've done it with some small success, but the protein level isn't as high as what I can currently buy.
Definitely food for thought. Thanks for the post.

If anyone has used any of these and has an opinion about them, I'd love to hear it!
