I'm going to start the pouch test on Monday. I'm waiting because my son's birthday is this weekend and there will be too many bad carbs hanging around.
Is anyone else going to start then?

i did it last week for 5 days and felt so much better physically... although emotionally it was rough.... i want to do it again 1 more time starting tomorrow so ladies im in too.....
somehow one of the girls last week made like a little group thru the email so that all 6 of us could send updates to eachother...
so if u want to email me thru sophiehoran@hotmail.com.... then each time a new person (should that be the case) adds on we add the email to the reply to line then we can keep each other motivated and up to date...
it was FABULOUS....

I'm in. Tomorrow's the big day. Just going to make some pumpkin sausage soup now. Wish me luck with the soy sausage!

Oh Karen! I'm super curious how the soy sausage works out for you. Now, I've never made the famous soup, but have read about how super fantastic it is. Be sure to post your "updated" recipe for future Vegan 5DPT'ers!

I started today. I'm interested in the soy soup too, as I don't like sausage. Let me know, ok?

I just finished making the soup. I think that when adapting it from real sausage to soy, one should use a smaller amount. I used 16 oz. of the soy sausage, as the recipie called for 16 oz. sausage. SO, I tasted it, and think it tastes good but too sausage-y (mind you I have no clue what it's supposed to taste like) and then I remembered that if I were using pork or beef sausage, it would have shrunk, right? It seems like there's a lot of "solid" in my soup, so I think I'll blend it...probably not necessary, but I think I'll feel more like I'm drinking a liquid rather than eating a solid. Maybe next time I'll only use 8 or 10 oz. of sausage, but it's still good, and I'm looking forward to eating it tomorrow.
I really need this 5dpt...since I had the mushrooms & onions out, for my supper I fried up some more in Pam, added one egg and 1/2 slice low fat cheese; It was quite tasty, but I'm still hungry. In 45 minutes I'll have a shake and stick to water for the rest of tonight. I can't wait to feel that feeling of being satisfied without eating so much that I feel too full!

I am starting again today too! I had already posted a new topic on it- then I realized there already was one! Oops! I am new to all this! I made it to day 4 last week and had trouble with Valentine's Day. But I lost 4 pounds so I am a believer! Just not looking forward to the headaches I know I will get because I did have carbs this weekend. It will be good to talk to others who are going through the same things! Good Luck all!

I did eat a piece of cake yesterday. I need to get rid of it. Nobody is going to eat it .
I've already got a headache, but I'm working through it. I'm sure I'll have a good day today and probably tomorrow. It's the 3rd day on that I'm worried about. I have a hard time not giving in to food temptation.
Thanks for all the support.

I'm nearly thru the first day. No problems here. Tomorrow will be day 2. And, I've got a friend doing this with me. I printed all of the materials and we have been reviewing them. So far, so good!
