Just curious if anyone uses a rebounder/mini-trampoline for their exercise (or part of it). I've been thinking about getting one. We have a treadmill but it has been in the storage shed for the last four years because we don't really have any place in the house or garage to put it where we can use it. The rebounders are compact and can be tucked away when not in use. It seems like an ideal solution.
Anyone have any input, ideas or suggestions about this? I'd love to hear from you.

I just purchased a mini-trampoline this weekend and used it for the first time last night. I am not counting it out yet, but I did find myself back on the treadmill.
This could just be me though. It seems no matter what I buy I go right back to the treadmill.
I know this isn't much help. Sorry

CR, I've been wanting one of these two, so I'm watching what you and Terri say closely. I loved the trampoline as a girl, and I would love to do it again. I have used the mini when I was m.o. (scary), and I can only tell you to go little steps. It's like a very low impact aerobics. You'll have to really use your arms to get a good work out, but I think it's very fun to dance on and I would definitely get one. It's inexpensive and doesn't take up much room and will add variety to your exercise. That's all good!

I think that this would be something that I too would use its a fun thing that I enjoyed as a kid and what the heck why not try it we have nothing to lose except weight and to me this would keep me busy
I think I could find lots of different things to do to keep it fun....let me know if you did get it and like it....I will be looking for one myself...I'll keep you posted....hugs

Thanks for the input. I'm seriously considering this. It's something that I can plop down in any room and use. It's quiet, I would assume, so it won't drown out the TV or stereo.
If you don't mind my asking, where did you get yours from, Terri? We're kind of limited out here in the "wilds". I'm going to Salt Lake City in a couple of weeks to the doctor, though, and I'm sure I'll have lots of options there.

I bought one, more for my 4 1/2 year old daughter to use for exercise. She's inherited by chubby gene and I'm working with the pediatician and dietician to nip this as soon as and as self esteem protecting as possible for her.
anyway...back to the mini tramp. She loves it....I however find that my bladder doesn't like it. Gravity and excess weight most of my life have made this difficult for me. However...I can run and have no problem, go figure. I also find that I get dizzy (car sick like dizzy) on it....sort of like when you spin around real fast. I don't know....just my experience.
BOTH of my kids use it every day, they fight over it! Got mine relatively cheap at wallyworld, think maybe 20 bucks or so.
Me...I'm sticking with running on the road, using my gazelle, abd boot camp DVD, or the YMCA treadmill/bike/pool.

Hmmm. Thanks for mentioning the bladder problem, Stephanie. That could be an issue. Well, still considering it. Haven't decided yet.
Thanks again for all the input, everyone.

Vivian,
I ordered mine from QVC. And I can't remember how much it was because I bought my husband a stair stepper at the same time.

An update on the rebounder. I finally purchased one, and I love it. I can use it in the living room while watching TV (or while hubby is watching TV) and it's quiet. Then I can stand it up in a corner out of the way. I've been using it for a few minutes in the morning before work and then again in the evening after my yoga workout. It's fun, easy on the joints, portable, with no moving parts exposed for my dogs or cat to get caught in since they always have to investigate what I'm doing. And, best of all, there's no place on it to hang clothes!!!
