Hi,
I am new to this neighborhood. My sister in law sent me to this site when I mentioned I wasn't sure if my surgery was still "working"! I had RNY October 2001. I started at 308 and the lowest weight was 145. I have gone up and down 10 lbs for 2 yrs. Now in the last 6 mo. I have gained 20lbs. I couldn't believe it...well, I guess when you don't pay attention to what you are eating anymore that can happen.
I really need to kick it into gear and lose these 20lbs. I am starting the 5DPT today! I CAN do it!
So far I have had coffee with Achieve One protein drink
Also a few bites of protein pudding.
I am going to do some navigating around the neighborhood to get myself familiarized with everything. I just want to say "Hi" to everyone. action-smiley-066.gif

Hi Gretchen,
Thank you for the welcome. What types of things did you eat during the first 2 days? Did you make any of the soups? Seems whenever I decide to get my eating in check, all I think about is...."what can I eat?" UGH!

I want to make sure I am doing things right and also not depriving myself too much...is there a total calorie limit in days 1 &2?
I have had
2 cups coffee
1 Achieve One
1cup protein pudding
16oz water
so far today and it's 1p. Should I be eating more, and if so what would you suggest? I am going to make that pumpkin sausage soup for supper.

Hi liem and welcome to the neighborhood! I am so glad that you are doing the 5DPT before your weight gain seems unmanageable! It will really kick start you back into shape!

Remember that days one and two are strictly protein drinks, broths, etc. and get plenty of water! The soup is great and everyone here loves it. Good luck and keep us posted!

Hi Kim,
Thank you for the welcome. I want to do things right. It scares me that I have gone up 20 lbs. and actually 35 from my all time low, of course I was only at that all time low for about a week. Anyway, You my dear look FABULOUS!!!

hi and welcome. I''m like you--I want to do things "right!" Whatever that is!!! ART is much messier than science though, and I'm finding that maintenance is an art! We all paint our own masterpiece, so don't stress too much. We'll all get there eventually.

best wishes on your journey
