Ok here are the marching orders for Day 4:

Protein Recommendations: ground meat (beef, turkey, lamb) cooked dry and lightly seasoned, shellfish, scallops, lobster steamed and seasoned only with lemon, salmon or halibut steaks, grilled and lightly seasoned.

I was kind of worried about what the difference between soft, firm and solid protein actually were, but this seems pretty straight forward. SHRIMP! Yeah. I'm actually thinking of having that for breakfast! NOT. We're going out to a BeniHana type place for dinner, and I'll have just the shrimp, not the rice, etc. For lunch I'll have to have the foil pouch unless I can get just a hamburger patty with no bun some place. This is going to be a little tricky as the group will actually be at a pizza place.

Now, I've got no problem pulling my foil pouch of fish or chicken out of my purse in such situations, but I'm not sure that this isn't actually "soft" protein like on day 3...such problems! I'll try to get the ground beef patty first if I can. Maybe I can take some smoked salmon? I have some of that on hand. Benefits of having an outdoorsman for a dh.

I feel motivated to make this work. I haven't weighed in a couple of days, but my clothes feel looser, and my tummy feels a little flatter. I know, it's in my head. But it'll be interesting to see if I've actually really lost any weight. I don't want to weigh now though. If it says the "wrong" thing, it will be a temptation to quit or freak or something. No thank you. I want to stick with it to completion come h*ll or high water!

Ok then, come on Day 4. Let's get it on, get it over with!

Sandy,

I am in week 4 of days 4 and 5. I weighed on day 14 and will weigh again tomorrow. I lost 7 pounds in 2 weeks...but I didn't do any head game stuff. I went back to basics from day one after my surgery forward.

I wish you much luck. I know it's hard, but trust me, it gets much easier.

There are very few places I have been that have not had anything I could find to eat...and my husband and I eat out A LOT!!

Take care and let us know how it is going for you. nature-smiley-001.gif

And as for the hamburger patty...you are eating out b/c you're out of town??? Or in business mtg? Well whatever your situation, it's been my experience that I can find ANYTHING I need to eat at almost any resturant, even fancy smancy places...you will do great! Keep us posted!

Many blessings on your efforts!

Good morning Sandi. Just wanted to drop by and wish you a good Day 4. I know that you will find something you feel that you can eat even if it is in a pizza place. You are a resourceful lady and my money is on you!
Sandi
Thanks for the votes of confidence friends! I'll have the trusty pouch o' meat in my purse, just in case, but I'm not too worried. I'm usually pretty cautious when I travel about what I eat. I'd rather err on the side of too little than too much.

Ok, here I go. I'll be back online tomorrow afternoon/evening, as quick as I can.

Have a good day everyone!

Cheering for you on day 4. Here's to you having a great day. party0002.gif party0002.gif party0002.gif

Official Cheerleader of the HOOD!
A great day to all of you 5DPTers !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sandi
Nah, I'm no cheerleader. Oh my gosh, that gave me a funny vision! Whoa... Thanks for the laugh Mick! OMGosh!!! Me in a cheerleader outfit! I'd have to pull a Bugs Bunny to make that happen! Remember the Bugs Bunny cartoon where Bugs imitates a girl bunny? He pulls his nylons and garments up through the neck hole of his dress and ties it into a huge huge knot and then drops the knot down the front bodice of his dress to create the "bust". Well that would be me.

I'll leave it at that!

Can't I be something like the neighborhood goof or something that comes naturally to me? Tech Team??? Can we get a "goof" title here?!

Ok, I really gotta go to work now.

hugs. thanks for the laugh. and the cyber lovin'
