Hi everyone, action-smiley-066.gif

As a few of you know I am currently on day 3. ..YAY

As of 3:00 PST I have had the following food and drink


5 Tequila shots....chips and salsa...no no wait...... just kiddinggg angel-smiley-002.gif

I have had:


Breakfast - 2 boiled eggs lightly dusted with salt..mmmm

32oz water (30-45 min afterwards)

Lunch - 1 6oz can of albacore tuna with a squirt of lemon juice and a couple splashs of hot sauce

17oz water

snack- (I think this was out of bordem..bad bad me) 1 egg

17 oz water

For dinner I am going to have trhe salmon loaf from day 3 recipes


One of my major challenges is that I work with a lot of young men (tech support) and these boys can eat junk all damn day and still be paper thin. This place is a fast food haven, I have never seen a day go by without loads of various fast foods.

So my tuna and eggs gathered little support from these kids...o wellll

BUT I am leaving for home now and I did it..I think the 1 extra egg for snack beats the few bites of fast food continually offered to me by these guys..=) angel-smiley-032.gif

It sounds like you're doing great. Having to be around all the boy's junk must be hard! Good for you! Keep your goal in mind!!

I thought is was quite doable too! However, home chillin tonight and just out of boredom and not feeling to great makes me think of what can I snack on...BUT I HAVENT! It pops OUT of my head as quickly as it popped IN!

The SOUPS are a life saver!

I understand what you mean about junk food junkies...my dh is one of those guys...thankfully he only jokingly offers it to me when he KNOWS I am strong and determined! He never pushes it in my face...if he did I think I'd have to commit a crime...anyone got bail money just in case???? Just kidding...lol!

Keep up the strong determination and remember tomorrow when they offer you some fast food to "Just say NO!"....again! Rootin for you!!! party0002.gif

Ok for dinner I had the yummiest cheesy salmon recipe..located in the Kitchen section...and WOW..after 1/2 cup I stopped..I was full!

I think Kaye said it best in another post..eating ahead of your pouch.

I do that..I eat fast and was eating up to 3 cups of food at one sitting....no wonder I was gaining!!! Eating fast and eating like pre-operation foods = failure

1/2 c and I was full...YAY

Here we go into Day 4!! What's YOUR PLAN? I have chicken to cook today....but still feeling a bit under the weather! I dont even feel like eating!! However, it IS just 7am...lol..

HOW YOU DOIN and WHAT DO YOU PLAN TO MAKE TODAY to get you through day 4 & 5??

Congrats!! Don't feel bad about an afternoon snack when it is protein, I couldn't make it through the day without it!

I can totally relate to your tech boys story. I am a Support Engineer and thats all we do is eat! Everywhere you look is cookies and chips and soda. The company brings it all in free for us. I noticed once I started the 5 dpt that I had to physically and mentally stop myself from just grabbing some and eating it. It would be on peoples desk and I would go to grab it out of habit!!

This sounds ridiculous and I always talk about owning up to what you do...but I cannot believe all the crap I was eating...and how much!

I am on day 11 and loving it!!! Keep it up...I just kept telling myself when I would feel week...you can do anything for 5 days. It is only 5 days. I learned that great mental phrase from all these nice ladies on here! love-smiley-061.gif

We CAN do this....plans..hmmm...well so far I have had:

1 cup of Joe...gotta have that...with 1 tsp Splenda and SF french vanilla coffee mate

2 boiled eggs and 2 slices of bacon (patted dry)

I brought leftover Cheesy Salmon loaf (1 cup) for lunch.

and plan on drinking my gallon of water...=)

Dinner I want to have that Mexican Chicken Meatball Soup (in the Kitchen section)...sounds yummy

I like what you said, Smiles, about eating fast. It is good to be aware of that. Before my 5dpt I would definitely eat fast, before I could get full, because I love the way food tastes! Stupid, stupid!!! I do not do that, at least not yet anyway, since the 5dpt.
