Hello everyone! I'm new to the neighborhood!
My name is Margo, I'm 36 and I live in Salt Lake City. I had Gastric Bypass surgery on 1/7/08. I am 6 weeks out and have lost 36 lbs. This is an incredible journey...wonderful, agonizing, emotional, exhilerating, exhausting, etc. and I hope I come out of it sucessful! Sticking to the eating plan is difficult and I've had my share of struggles in this short period of time as I'm sure you all have.
I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. I look forward to getting to know you and learning all I can from you!

Glad to have you here.

Hi, Margo!
My surgery was 2 weeks after yours. I know what you mean about struggling. My pouch had lots of little pains and sharp twinges but nothing like the hungry feeling or full feeling I had before. It has taken this long to start feeling that full feeling everyone was talking about. My hungry feeling I think is mostly "head hunger", and I'm feeling too insecure to even join the family at the dinner table, since I can't eat anything they're eating right now.
But after spending almost every evening in the "Neighborhood," I know things are going to get better, and someone has an answer for every question I have asked. And everyone is so positive and encouraging here. I hope you come here often!

Here's wishing the very best. Stay focused and enjoy the journey. We all worked very hard to get to this point and now it is out of the hands of our surgeon and now in our hands (or belly). I will check in on you often.
