I've been hanging out lately. Was notified that my procedure for the LapBand will be done on the 26th YIPEE!
As many of you know this envolves many tests and procedures and the USAF is very very thorough so I have had all my parts and pieces examined and analyzed to make sure that I am a healthy 62 yr old candidate.

I am so excited. I read somewhere that a person said they had had the procedure 4 years ago, and had many bumps along the way. When asked would she do it again, she responded that "In a heart beat. On her kitchen table with a rusty knife in the middle of a thunderstorm." NOW THAT IS A STRONG ENDOURSEMENT!

I will keep you posted. I am up for this challenge and am not expecting instant miracles either. I think that if I never see size 10, do not look fetching in a 2 piece bathing suit, or look 20 year younger it will be a success. Just to think that I am doing the right thing, an intellegent move to a healthier life, and that I may be able to kick some of the meds I must take each day....IT WILL HAVE BEEN WORTH THE JOURNEY!

Hugs from deep in the heart of Texas! Voted early (giggle) just in case I couldn't later. BOY OH BOY this is the most important election I can ever remember in my life. Both my DH and I are rabid political junkies. Bout had my fill of them by this time. Hugs again.

This will be a FABULOUS JOURNEY no matter what size you end up!

I'm STILL not a size 10 and i'm 4 years out!! However, I remain a 12/14 and am very proud to say that! Because it SURE BEATS a size 24/26!! RIGHT?

So sending lots of GOOD VIBES from CALI BABY!!

Howdy Texas! Glad to see you! Also, glad you voted! Now you can complain all you like! I am very happy that you got your approval date. You WILL be heathier, happier, and live longer because of your lap band! What more could you ask for?
