Hi Everyone! action-smiley-065.gif

Just want to take a minute to introduce myself. My name is Teresa, am 30 yrs old married and have a wonderful beautiful baby boy which is 8 months old.

In Feb. 2001 I had Open RNY Gastric Bypass which resulted in losing roughly around 130LBS...Needless to say my prayers had been answered.
Nov.2004 I became very ill due to adhesions and in June 2007 I gave birth...both of those things combined made me forget about my share of work I had to do in order to keep the weight off. Since then I have regained aprx. 35lbs....(would also like to lose an additional 15 that I never got to. ..GOD willing lol)

I didnt know where to go or what to do until I saw the View and heard the mention of this site. I realized after reading other stories that mine wasnt so far off the beaten path and finally allowed me to feel human again.

I truley believe that this site is what I need to get my butt in gear!! Having said that ...I started the 5DPT today!!!

I hope I am doing it correctly...If anyone has any feedback on my intake today I would greatly appreciate it!!

I look forward to taking this journey with all of you as each and everyone of you are my inspiration!

DAY 1 as of 3:30

68OZ water

2 SF pudding

2SF jello

2 Atkins protein shakes

Hi Teresa,

Welome to the club! I think you find this site to be fun, uplifting and supportive... I sure do! Sounds like you are on the right track. I am wondering though if you are taking in enough protein. Sounds like you need another shake or 2. But you have the liquids down. Good job and hang in there.

Hugs,
Jules

I know you will love it here. Very supportive people, always willing to help.

I'm glad you started the 5dpt! You will be surprised at the awareness you gain from it!

Have you tried any pureed soup? Something tasty to add to what you're already having. Check out the recipes here, the pumpkin/sausage soup is particularly yummy!

Congrats on your baby! What a joy he must be to you!

Good luck and again, welcome!!!

Hello and Welcome Teresa! action-smiley-065.gif

Sounds like this is the place you need to be! 5 day pouch it is!! Your intake looks good...but might need a little more in ya...but you'll get it. Do try the soups. The pumpkin Sausage which sounded yucky to me cuz I hate pumpkin pie...was DELISH! I also made the Split pea and was good..but I LIKE PEA SOUP! lol..

Just a thought! That baby boy needs his mama to have energy! I have two boys...LOVE "EM!! But they are 25 and 13 now! lol..

Today is day 5 for me on the pouch test....I lost 6 lbs already and while I know they say it's not TO LOSE WEIGHT, I love that side effect! I havent been too hungry either!

So welcome to the neighborhood and KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK! Losing that 50 lbs is TOTALLY DOABLE!!

Im 4 years out this month am lower than i've ever been but STILL want to lose another 20 lbs! So it CAN HAPPEN and WILL if you want it too!!

I look forward to seeing you around!!

Hello! My only advice would be to double your shake intake! Those Atkin's shakes only have 15g each. Personally, I take in 5 when I have a liquid day.

Search around the site and keep yourself motivated!

nature-smiley-011.gif Good morning everyone!!

Thank you so much for your warm welcome and great motivation!!

I am happy to say that I made it through day 1 and 2! Honestly though I must have been going crazy with eating because all I can say is WOW that was difficult!! lol

Oh well onto day 3...I think today should be much easier!

Does anyone else find it difficult to stick with the no drinking 30 minutes before and 30 minutes after eating rule?? I've never really follwed it before ...I know I know shame on me...Guess I never really knew how important it was!

Hope all is doingwell

Hi Teresa,

So nice to meet you. I finished the test on friday, it really works.

I never had a problem w/the 30 minute rule (one of the few rules I DIDN'T have a problem with!) As a matter of fact, I'm finding that waiting 45-60 minutes after a meal is helpful w/helping me stay full. After that time, I load up on the water till the next meal.

Enjoy your baby, mine are 18 and 20 now, and I miss those baby years!

Take care,
