is tomato soup in can mixed with water ok for first two days?

Here is the direct quote from the 5DPT page:

Days One & Two: Liquid Protein
low-carb protein shakes, broth, clear or cream soups, sugar-free gelatin and pudding.

So, I guess you are good to go if you don't bear in mind that tomato soup is all carbs and no protein. Therefore, I would have to say NO. Opt for protein broths and soups that have protein in them.

I'm a rebel! I had tomato soup, butternut soup and V-8 during days one and two (with my protein shakes). Guess I messed THAT up, eh?

Everyone seems to do Day 1 & 2 slightly differently. I usually do protein shakes, milk, emergen-c, crystal light and water. Sometimes Diet Juice. I don't do any of the soups. If I do, it is just plain broth.

I don't know much about the 5dpt, but tomato soup makes me dump because of the amount of sugars. Be careful of that.

Two things - Acid in your pouch and check the sugar - may make you dump...

I eat alot of tomato soup now and dont dump with it. Its real soothing too me.

Welcome Denise!!

I did the tomato soup and was fine...of course I dont dump with ANYTHING except Icecream!! lol....

The soups were a life saver for me!! If you havent tried the pumpkin/sausage..then do! Sounds yukky but its YUMMY!! The split pea was good too! I'm STILL EATING IT!! Gonna make the pumpkin one again this week as well....and I cant STAND PUMPKIN PIE!! lol. so go figure!

GOOD LUCK! I did well on the 5dpt...you will TOO!

Jules I must say you are looking smashing!!!!! cool0012.gif I wouldn't worry too much about the tomato soup as long as you are getting good protein from shakes. Just my little ole opinion. action-smiley-066.gif
