OK Guys, you might want to stop reading here if you don't want to talk "girl stuff."

You know, pre-5dpt, I never much paid attention to PMS cravings. I nibbled all the time, I don't think I really noticed if I was "out of control" (because I was always out of control). Anyway, today, I had my first experience of PMS cravings. Funny thing is, I'm nibbling on my normal food. LOL! I'm not craving bread, candy, cookies. Although I've had more than double the PB protein balls than I usually do (nomrally I limit it to 2 per day). All in all, my calorie count is only 1300, but compared to my normal 950-1000, that's a good 30% increase! EEK! sign0040.gif It doesn't help that I haven't pooped since Wed., so I'm feeling fat anyways! sign0053.gif

Ah well, could be worse I guess!

Oh man...you gals that go for days without pooping just make me hurt. I don't know how you do it.

As for PMS cravings...I have two solid days of "NEED FOOD NOW". I just give in and eat what I want (not anything that would hurt me!). If my body is asking for nuts, I'll have 'em. If it wants a yam, I'll bake one. I don't sweat it for those two days and usually, the day before I start, I'm not hungry at all. So, it's sort of a wash in my eyes.

Hang in there!

OK...TMI ahead...

Before I started watching what I was eating, I used to poop every morning right after my coffee - you could set a clock by it. It's only been since I've started "day 6" that this is happening. I'm guessing my body needs to "fill up" before it lets go. It's not uncomfortable, but it's rather annoying - especially because (since my WLS surgery) when I have to go, I have to go. I definitely preferred to be on a schedule - because I'm a Realtor, I'm always out and about so it was nice to know that wasn't going to be an issue - NOW, I don't know WHEN it's gonna hit...ugh.

HA... I hate PMS and my PMS cravings. If I could just sleep for those 3 days a month, I would be much happier. Oh and FYI - my regularity has gone out the window. When I have to go, I HAVE TO GO.

I hear ya sister chick!

Before surgery mine was fish and chips. Had to have it. Now... more like bananas and oatmeal. HA! The carbiest carbs I can find...isn't it funny?

I used to crave crunch...normally chips and dip...saltiest I could find. Now I have found that mixing 1/2 inch pieces of celery and raw turnips works just fine. Normally 1-2 pieces and the craving passes...if not...c-light from the freezer for crunch, and I try to ignore it.

EEK, for me the craving is still chocolate. I learned from Kim to get the good stuff, rich dark chocolate...really love Dove :) 1 piece and the crave goes away...unlike pre wls when I'd eat a king size candy bar of what ever I could get my hands on and go back for more. That was truly mindless eating and now I've learned to appreciate the little tastes and realized that it really does satisfy :)
As for regularity... this is WAY TMI but.....My sister teases me that I should drink my breakfast ( Atkins RTD shake and coffee over ice) while sitting on the toilet because so many times I'm rushing to finish it so I can run to the potty! Gross concept...sip in, poop out! eew. sick0022.gif I'd rather just run up stairs when I'm done drinking it! More exercise that way too!!!
