I am presently en route to a week-long training class in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. While traveling to Mexico, I decided to stop for a couple of days in Utah, where I spent two days skiing at The Canyons in Park City. I have just finished my second day of skiing, and after pushing the limits of my abilities, and the resultant crashes, I am quite tired and very sore. I really hurt my back, but it will not keep me from riding the Zip Lines in Mexico next Saturday! I think that at my age maybe I should just be content with never allowing my skis to leave the snow surface. It seems that attempting to jump almost always yields disasterous results!

Now the neat thing is that three years ago, just a couple of weeks before my WLS, I was in Utah to give a speech at the University. I decided not to go skiing because I thought it would be too hard, too exhausting, and too uncomfortable at the weight that I was at that time. But now I'll manufacture just about any excuse to travel to places where I can go skiing. Now I can ski for two consecutive days with no difficulty... well, except for when I hurt myself acting like I'm 20 years old!

Your spirit is beautifl MOUJ...no matter how bratty you try to be! I love this moment and I know that the zip lines will be ready for you.

Take some Tylenol and wake up with a smile!

Rock on.

I am jealous to see you in that wonderful snow and I am so happy for you that you had such a good time. But I have a question; isnt Utah a little out of the way traveling from Florida to Puerto Vallarta? Just wondering.

What a great picture Jeff! I am so glad that you are having a great time. I think we all push the limits of our physical capabilities now that we are in such better shape. I'm just glad you didn't really hurt yourself. I can't wait to see pictures of you in Mexico!

I am so jealous. I have been to Puerto Vallarta and it was wonderful. I didn't do the zip line, because I was over 300lbs. I want to go back and do the zip line!

Have fun Big Brother!

I'm with you Damon, that little detour would have tacked another several hundred bucks onto the plane ticket! Jeff should feel remorse....HA! Like that's guna happen. He looks like he's feeling real sheepish on that pile of soft fluffy snow. They just don't have that kind of snow in Florida, do they mister CEO?

I think the whole "training" in Mexico thing is kind of suspect too. I'd hire a professional to investigate this corporate malfeasance, except the only professional investigator I know is the suspect!!!

guess you can read between the lines, mouj....I'm incredibly jealous, but happy for you. I know that you work really really hard every day to make little jaunts like this so special.

best hugs bih (brother in hood)! Be careful in PV.

Ahhh bummer I didnt see this BEFORE you left MOUJ!!!

Great PIC! I miss skiing and hope that my back can handle it someday in the near future! it's been 10 + years!!

But it didnt keep me from doing the ZIPLINES!! I have yet to post my picture from last month! Los Veranos...as ALWAYS ROCKED THE HOUSE and MY EXPECTATIONS!!!

This time...I got to go backwards with the guide and right in the middle dangling over the canyon..he said...HOLD ON!!! And pushed me with his foot so I was doing 360's and got to see EVERY ANGLE of the Canyon!!!!

Of course he was video-ing me at the same time and I had to scream like a GIRL!! lol.. GOOD TIMES and the video is GREAT!

Ok...so yeah at the end...Hubby DID have to agree with me that it was WAY BETTER in PV that it was in Jamaica!!

ENJOY as i'm sure you will and I cant wait to hear about it!

Thanks for the beautiful picture of you skiing! GORGEOUS!

MOUJ,

Have a safe and productive trip. I am totally jealous. You always find ways to play. You need to act your age. LOL. You can keep the snow. I hate the cold weather now. Have fun in the sun in Mexico. I wish I was there right now. Hugs.

Actually, once I routed the flight through Salt Lake City the price of plane ticket dropped by $200! So after spending $50/day on ski passes, and staying for free at my brother's house, I actually saved $100 by going skiing! Pretty cool, huh?

I've been in class for the last two days, but we have been told that even though the class was scheduled to go through Friday, it will now end on Thursday. That means TWO days to play before I fly home on Sunday. And, the bummer is that I have spent quite a bit of time in the evenings in the hotel room working on stuff for clients. But I do admit that I'm having a lot of fun. Puerto Vallarta is a very nice place!
