I did it! cool0012.gif I finished the 5dpt on Friday. I weighed in this a.m. at 139. I started @ 145. I'll take a 6 lb. loss!

I posted my day 5 under a thread below "Day 5 and feeling...." but I don't think anyone saw it. I won't repost, you can read it if you feel like it....basically I think that the test empowered me to stand up to my boss!

I'm not sure I can feel a tighter pouch. What I am sure of is that I can last from one meal to the next with expiring from starvation, and that I have to try to stretch my meals to 15 minutes! When I'm alone, I can scarf it down in 6 minutes, feel full, and then an hour later, well you know the story.

Yesterday I had a great day 6, reintroduced complex carbs--flax, berries, green beans. I feel great about the choices I made. I was actually satisfied w/a hard boiled egg and cheese stick, who knew? I know I'll never be one of those people who's satisfied with one cheese stick for a meal! I did fitday.com and my calories were around 800, and I'm very happy with that.

I'm definately going to keep eating those tuna patties, they're a big hit! I learned to like fish (talapia) so I'm going to sautee or bake some for the week. In other words, Plan Ahead/Cook Ahead. I hate cooking, but I'm worth it...I don't have to spend all Sunday in the kitchen...if do the talapia or chicken strips in tomato sauce and the patties, it will be a huge help for the week.

I appreciate all the support in this neighborhood...I intend to stick around. You guys really helped me get my confidence back...I know my tool works if I work it!

Karen, I'm really sorry I DID miss the other post, I'll go find it. I'm really happy for you that you were successful at completing the test! And your day 6 sounds great.

You know, I sometimes hate cooking ahead too. I like that you said you're worth it, because that's the thing I needed to hear too. I HATE throwing food away that I buy at restaurants because I can't eat it or it's too much. So cooking ahead and taking my own food is my better option. The food is much "simpler" but that seems to sit better with me.

Thanks for letting us know how the test worked for you. Now, I'm going to go find the post.

hugs and high fives!

Karen, this is just great! You are on your way to that goal of 126!!!

A hard boiled egg stuffs me too! Scrambled...not so much. Isn't it funny how the texture fills us differently???

Thank you! I just realized that after I lose 7 more lbs. (oh, please let it be soon) I'll have lost 100 lbs. since being banded!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know I need to be patient, and it could take me a whole month to get there, especially since I just lost 6 lbs. on the 5dpt, but one can only hope. and do day 6 diligently. and exercise!
