Thanks

Hi Halaina-lots of us just use a blender. Some people have The Bullet and that sounded like such a good machine I went out and bought one. Some people use one of those hand held blenders (I forgot the name) Hope this helps. Good Luck on your 5DPT. I did mine the beginning of this month and it has made a real difference.

I'm sorry, I was also wondering what kind of liquid do you use also?

I mix protein powder only with water and flavorings. I almost always use ice and the Magic Bullet.

If you go to the 5dpt thread and click on it (it's in the upper right corner on the page we write out replies) it will tell you how to do the 5 dpt and give you some good recipes to follow. If you do exactly what it says, you will be more in touch with your pouch.

PS I used water with mine, but there are other things you can use. I am pretty new here myself, so I want to be careful of what I suggest because I don't want you to get off track. Keep posting and good luck with the 5DPT

[color="#ff0000"]I mix mine with H2O......I have a small chopper and it works good to chop a little ice in it....

I have a small battery operated hand mixer that fits in a cup. It works great and really easy cleanup. I used to use the big blender but then I would have to take it all apart to clean. This gives me the same results and only requires a quick rinse under the faucet to clean. I only paid about $5.00 for the one that I have. I'm sure you can find one pretty cheap. Hugs.

Hi Halaina... action-smiley-065.gif

Yes a blender is the best way

If you like coffee, here is a recipe that I use everytime I drink protein

2 scoops of your favorite vanilla protein

2 tsp of sugar free Mocha Cappuccino mix...( I use Caffe D'Vita)

1 tsp instant coffee

ice cubes

water

Place the above in a blender and blend to make a yummy iced coffee drink

add more ice and make a shake..choice is yours

Have a great day... nature-smiley-008.gif

I use a magic bullet or a small battery powered 'turbo' mixer.

As far as the ingredients, you need to experiment with anything that sounds good to you. You will get the hang of it quickly. Some add ins to try:

coffee or espresso powder
splenda flavored sweeteners
davinci sf syrups
peanut butter
sf marshmallow cream
bananas or berries
ff powdered creamer for coffee drinks

see? Use your imagination!

There are many ways to make shakes with protein powder. There are many kinds that dissolve easily in water. Add those to water or crystal light in a water bottle and you are good to go. Some mix well in milk (I use fat free Lactaid). I put those in a blender as I don't like the clumps that still exist after shaking. Also, I have a use a turbo mixer blending cup. It doesn't do ice. I keep it on my desk at work and bring in my milk and powder and make myself a shake. I think mickeefynn posted about the turbo mixers. You can oder them on the QVC website.

hope this helps!

I use the Magic Bullet @ home w/decaf coffee & a little 1% milk or lite soy milk & ice cubes. (Also, 1t NSA Nestles quick.)

@ work I use a tupperware type drink container (2C to allow for shaking) & iced decaf. The ice cubes in the coffee help mix the powder & de-clump it.

Hope this helps.

I use water...
My husband uses Crystal light.
Juices are too caloric and too much sugar.
Add NF milk.

Did you see the recipes in the "5 Day Pouch Test" section?
Sure there are yummy alternatives.

BTW - I love my bullet! Love love love :-)

When I'm on protein shakes I use the blender. I rinse it out after each shake and at the end of the day I run it through the dishwasher.
