nature-smiley-011.gif Thanks to all of you on this site....I was banded 2 years ago and quickly lost 42 pounds....the last year I have just been bouncing around 199, never really losing anything, just maintaining.......I did the 5 day pouch test...it was hard, especially since I developed a cold on day 2, so add that to the headaches from carb withdrawal.....It has been 2 weeks and I am down 6 pounds! But most of all, I am back to eating my protein first, (all of it), then with any room the veggies....I have cut all white carbs out completely....I had snuck back in a small spoon of potatoes, a little rice etc.....even though my caloric intake was ok...my body hates carbs....after my initial surgery I was taken off all diabetes medicine, but my BS had increased to about 140 daily, which is not bad, but now it is staying level at 110! I just needed to go through the routine and get back in the habit of eating properly! I also loved the black bean soup...I keep it on hand at work for when I feel hungry or just need something...I drink the soup and it is gone! Thanks again for this site....I am so thankful so one posted your site on another weight loss site....

My body hates CARBS, too! What a great way to put it.

These are the key concepts Lisa! You're doing great!
  • Protein First!
  • Cut out Carbs
  • Divide your weight by 2 and drink that many onces of water per day
  • NEVER miss your vitamin supplements!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Get it moving!
