I am assuming that you want a list of low sugar fruit and high sugar fruit.

Here are the low sugar fruits:
Rhubarb

Strawberries

Cranberries

Raspberries

Blackberries

Blueberries

Grapefruit

Melons

Apricots

Plums

Peaches

Pears

Guava

Cherries

Apples

Papaya

These are fairly high in sugar:

Grapes

Tangerine

Oranges

Pineapple

Kiwi

The following fruits are very high in sugar.

Bananas

Dried Fruit

Mango

Most of the fruits that are "berries" are also high in antioxidants...another health benefit...strawberries &blueberries are highest if I remember correctly.

Personally, though I think any fruit is better than refined sugar of any form...so in that case none of them are actually "bad" you just may need to see which ones are best for you....what can your pouch tolerate etc?

Blessings!

Hi Cher, I think everyone's body responds differently to all foods,
but I do tend to use fruits more like a dessert. And I try to combine them with
protein to make sure the natural sugars have a buffer..
pears w/ cheese
apples w/ peanut butter
berries in shakes w/ no milk and protein powder
banana, cautiously in shakes
NO fruit juices! They just hit my system way too fast and cause very scary plunge into hypoglycemic h*ll
But take it slowly and listen to your body. And remember Protein First!
Good Luck!

mickee, I love apples with peanut butter! It is my new favorite once in a while dessert. Hubby makes a funny face and leaves the room when I eat apples with peanut butter. This from a guy that makes a sandwich with peanut butter on one side with banana slices and on the other side a ton of mayo and a slice of cheese! Bleege! No accounting for tastes!

angel-smiley-002.gif I too love a good 'ole apple and pb...also love apple & cheese...ummm. I guess I should mention that I eat fruit coupled with protein as in a shake or as an after meal "dessert" of sorts or as one of my daily "meals"...and if I use a juice normally it IS an all fruit juice w/no added sugar.

Good point Mf to mention the PROTEIN FIRST... I do that, but others may think it's ok not to do so...thanks!

Blessings!

Celadon...so by melons, you mean that watermelon is low as well?

It is a personal favorite of mine...and would like <someday..lol>, to be able to add it to my food plan...so if it is..any recipes or sauces that you would suggest?

Thanks!
Celadon
Marianna, I love watermelon but find that I can only tolerate very small amounts of it. If you can eat it, it is listed as one that is okay. I would suggest that you make sorbet of it or just eat it as is. It is also good as a cooler with a bit of lime. Just put it in a juicer and squeeze lime in it to your taste and if you need it sweeter, use Splenda or something similar.

In the case of those of us that can't eat much sugar, yes.
