Easy one for me. The Renaissance with stipulations. I would have to be a very wealthy young widow. That way, I could do all of the things that I do now without getting in trouble for it! That era has always intrigued me, such discoveries were made then in medicine, industry, literature and the arts. To have met some of these brilliant folks would just do it for me!

A dream question for me... cool..
I want to go back to the mid 18oo's to the city of BUTTE, MT, during the height of mining and prosperity. There were many "character" types roaming the city, corruption, and lots of interesting history. I'd like to see how people lived, the wild side

and the family side.

This has always been a wish for me. Butte in it's heyday rivaled New York or San Fran, but then the mining industry went downhill. Interesting stuff!!!

I would go back in time to my senior year in high school, still retaining all of the knowledge I have now. This would give me the opportunity to change some of my decisions for the better. I'd be sittin' pretty by the time I got back to 2008!

There are some wonderful and special times in the past, and that's for sure! But you have to love all the TOYS we have today -- internet, cell phones, etc. Of course, there are a lot of problems with our era as well -- but the same was true in the Old West, the Rennassaince days, the 60s (though it was lots of fun) and any other time you can name!
So, I wouldn't look back, but go into the future. I'd like to join the very first crew of the Starship Enterprise and set out on a mission to "explore new worlds, seek out new life and new civilizations and to boldly go where no one has gone before"!
Yes! I still believe there is a light down the road, and that's the direction I'm going.

I was seven -
My dad came home from work with two Beatles tickets and said
"if you find someone to take you you can go!"
So I ran down to my baby sitter's house and knocked on the door.
Her mother answered the door
"Is Cherry home?" I asked. Her mother turned and whispered
"Cherry, it's little Nancy from down the street"
I could here Cherry say "what could she want?"
Cherry came to the door.
"I have two BEATLES tickets, if you take me you can come too!"
Cherry immediatly started crying and screaming, leaving me at the door to call her friends.
Her mother came back to the door - "I guess that's a yes".
I would love to go see that concert again, from my new vantage point.
To re-live the madness and to feel my emotions again.

Easy question. I would go back to the day before my mother died and make sure that her last day was happy, peaceful, and fun. Although I am 99% sure that it was, I'd like to go back to make sure.......

I would go back to the 1930's. I have always been into costuming and period pieces, and would love to see some of the clothing and jewelry up close!
Keep the answers coming! Great stuff!

We'd be singing and traveling around! Now THAT would be a trip!

I would go back to 1976 and I would buy a black Trans Am, grow a big black mustache, and get a big black cowboy hat. My CB handle would be "Bandit." Then I would run blocker for my buddy (CB handle "Snowman") who was truckin' 80,000 cases of illegal Coors beer from Texarkana, Texas to Atlanta Georgia. I would pick up a runaway bride along the way, and be chased by a goofball of a Texas Sheriff (Smokey). Oh the adventures we would have!!!
Either that, or I would want to go to the 60's because everything was rainbows and puppies...

MOUJ you need to let the fantasy go. That guy was just a poser next to you. I bet he never did a Mexico zip line adventure. The mustachio would look ridiculous--like a porn star in a b grade movie (not that I would know about this)...
Now carry on dear neighbors. Time period and why is the question? Well, this is challenging, but I have faith in you! I've won that last TWO weeks, so I'm not going to stick my big mouth in this week. I just want to watch and learn.

I think I would chose to go back to the Victorian era...as a very wealthy heiress with no wants/needs going unmet and just enjoy all the tea parties and shopping and shocking sex talk in the parlor... :) Kinda naughty but at least it'd be interesting...think I might even go to college and get a degree just for the sheer "shock" factor for my Victorian family...ohhh, the lovely dresses, hats and such I'd wear daily...have to figure out a way to "invent" air conditioning though, do not function well in the heat! .... I think I'd even "summer" on the Island in Michigan (for life of me can't remember the name of it...come on all you Michiganers help me out here....anyhoo, it's where Jane Seymore and Christopher Reeves met in SOMEWHERE IN TIME, such a romantic movie)....ahhh, romance...that's what the Victorians were all about...well kinda...
Funny...and ironic that's what that movie was all about...time travel!
Here's to Romance and Roses!

I would choose to return to those pre-embryo days and select a different family. Although not perfect, my parents would be loving, nurturing, supportive, and warm people. They'd be the kind of people who know no strangers and exude unconditional acceptance.
Why?
Because I am worth being loved and accepted by my parents regardless of my size, weight, hair color, and I deserve to be in a home free of abuse while being surrounded by family and friends.

I know it's technically Saturday now, bit this topic has intrigued me.
I would go back to my pre weight gain days.... the eighties I think. I would know the misery I would experience and perhaps make the lifestyle changes I was capable of and not let the depression and carelessness take hold of my life. I would know and correct what I could to prevent the losses I had suffered and right a few wrongs. I would feel a whole person and know that although I was being so harshly judged for my size, I was an important human and those who didn't accept me and treated me unfairly could see me as I am today. Stronger, more confident, able to climb the hills and take the walks ride a bike and to be able to go on the rides.
I would go back knowing who I am now and kick me some rears! And, kiss my aunts cheek for asking me to care enough about myself to get help to lose weight, which I was unable to do before she passed away.
Deanna
I would go back 4 years to my DH's first heart attack. Going back not only with the knowledge that I would loose him in 3 short years but also a greater understanding of why he was so angry and depressed most of the time after that first one, maybe I could be more supportive and make his last few years just a bit better.

Savanah...if you find a magic pill or something that does that, let me know. I for one would be standing in line for it...
Amelia...I agree, shock factor in Victorian times....I say we go together and do some RETAIL THERAPY! <any excuse to go shoppinggg!!>
Since I am stuck at home currently, ebay....credit cards....and online ordering are loving me! <not the wonderful bh though, lol! Think she would like it better if they weren't her credit cards!>

I don't think I'd go anywhere. I'll admit there are mistakes I've made in the past that I wish I could change. But, I also believe those things make me who I am today. And I know I don't want to go to the future. I don't want to miss one day with my husband, daughters or grandson. I don't want to know what the future holds for them or me. I want to spend every second of my NEW life living it with them.

I would most definately opt for a
roundtrip ticket to the past. Most of the things I have ever regretted in my past were the times where I chose to not get involved or make a difference. I would try to make more of a difference vs remaining indifferent!! Then zip back home (first class of course!) and hopefully witness a marginally better world for others.
