Hello Toris,

I am not off to a very good start, I had a protien shake for breakfast, 2 glasses if SF iced tea and a bowl of cream of potatoe/bacon soup for lunch. Now for the bad part, I ate 1/2 a bag of M&M's. I know it was a reaction to stress. I found out that someone from the "C" suite at my employer has been arrested and charged with Domestic Abuse. I don't know what to do. I know it is not public knowlege (at least not yet). I work for an employer whose mission and core values are rooted in the Catholic Health ministry. I am struggling with what to do with the information. What do I owe to my fellow employees / board of directors. etc. I don't know if there is a conduct clause in this employees contract or not, anyway I degress.....Back to my 5DPT. I will move forward ant be more conciuos of my choices and the triggers. I'll check back in later. Lola

I hope I am posting this correctly--I am not a forum person. Anyway, I just found this site on Friday in an afternoon search to try to get my carb eating under control. I got very excited about the 5 Day Pouch Test and I STARTED THIS AM!! I had Roux N Y 3 1/2 years ago, went from 275 to 207 in about 8 months, maintained about 2 years, and have gained about 7-10 pds over the past year and a half, despite gyming it 4 times a week, walking at lunch and going on sometimes 6 mile hikes on the weekend. Hmmmm-could it have something to do with ALL THE SUGAR I CONSUME?????????? I am grateful for the loss I got and feel I look "normal" now and am very active now, but to have your insides carved up and still wear 16 pants? That's not what I signed up for.

So I am with you and would really love to develop a relationship with you all since it seems you are where I am. It seems other sites have all the newbies or pre-ops, and that doesn't apply to me--they have a different route to travel.

I had to have 1/2 a peice of fruit this late AM, but the site said that was ok. I am peeing like a fountain (pardon the French) but as I understand, carbs maintain water.

hapy to help support anyone.

Hi Marianne, sign0016.gif

This is actually my 3rd time doing the 5dpt. I was doing great both times, but had "situations" arise (son's 4th birthday & then a surgery) which made me "slip" in regards to carbs. So...I'm back on the wagon.

You'll be surprised at how much control you'll gain in a very short amount of time!

Welcome to the hood!

action-smiley-065.gif Hi all,

I am on day 2 of the 5dpt and I feel empowered to stick with this!! I feel I really need to to detoxify my body from all of the nono foods I was eating. I feel better and back on track already.

thnaks FOR THE MESSAGE. I did ok yesterday, felt like I was walking around with a hand grenade with the pin pulled 2/3 of the way out. Where did all these offers of cake come from all of a sudden? Anyway, typically for me, I didn't read all the 5 day test instructions completely and didn't know you could have some soups, so today I had split pea/ham for bfast and already I feel better. Last night I got home 9:30 PM after taking a call from my college daughter about a stressful situation, got home and had some nuts. Ok, about 4 ounces. But I'm not going to start over, I don't have to be a goddess of perfection. I think the soup will help me be better today.

It's like this--the surgeons made this nice pouch for me to use, why shouldn't I use it to its capacity and get everything I originally wanted out of it? I have a little bit of hope that I can go somewhere with this test/site. And I need some hope--as I said I never wanted to end up with size 16 pants as my end point. No one lays in a hospital bed for 4 days and says "Man, I'm gonna be a 16!!!" I want to wear 12s!

CAN SOMEONE tell me how to get my photot to appear in the sidebar of my post???

Will check in later!
