action-smiley-065.gif Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Celeste Had Lap RNY on 06/18/07 I am about 14lbs outsdie of my goal weight. I am very excited abut my new life and look. My body now matches my insides (as far as I am concerned). My kids and husband are very happy for me. I am more energized and just have a more positive outlook on life.

So far I have lost about 103lbs. I am very thankful for the support sites have found and the WLS community love0028.gif is awesome. I love you all for that. We need each other for support and understanding because the ones on the outside of WLS cannot truely understand our struggle no matter how hard they try.

Wow you are doing great! I got my band on 12/19/08 and I've lost about 22 pounds and that means 78 to go. I feel like it is taking forever. I know that slower is better, but I'm still in the "will this actually work" phase. On good days, I know it will work, on bad days, I think "has my last resort has failed?" Loosely translating to " Have I failed, again?" I do try not to go to the dark side, but sometimes it just creeps in. cool-smiley-013.gif

How did you make it through? Any tips will help, I think my "thinking" just gets in the way. Most days I am confident that I will succeed and this weight will come off, but I'm still at the weight loss point I've been so many times, before I gained it all back. I just worry that I'll never get past the 25-30 pounds I've lost over and over again in the past. Even though I know I'm off the roller coasters of my past, I still fear that I'm just on a new roller coaster.

Right now I am doing a fair amount of toning work and I take a belly dance class two times a week, plus I try to get at least one other cardio workout in for the week. My eating is not as consistent as I would like it to be. It's hard to get into a good routine with the back and forth of liquid/soft after each fill. I'm getting fills every 3 weeks and at this last fill I remained the same, no loss, but no gain. (So sad) I thought that with all the belly dancing I would have lost. I've been thinking maybe I should start using a measuring tape to see if there are any changes there.

Thanks for letting me ramble.
