Thanks everyone. I am most definitely blessed to be living here! Hubby got me a new camera for Valentine's (yeah, I needed another hobby) but it goes well with my scrapbooking and stamping. I have had so much fun.

A little Sitka Black Tail deer that visited my rose bushes. I was able to creep up quite close to snap these photos.

This one I was about 4 feet away. It is pretty amazing.

My goal is to get some great bear shots this summer.

WOW! and I thought the ice covered branches on the trees in a woods as I drove home today was one of the most beautiful sites I've seen. Someone would probably have to shut my gaping mouth if I ever had the opportunity to see something like your view OHTM!!!!!! Simply majestic!

You are so making me miss living in the northwest and visiting Alaska. Now that I live on the ocean, I miss the mountains a lot. Your photography is wonderful and thanks for sharing your talent.

cautionary note: 4 feet from a Sitka deer is a good idea. 4 feet from a Kodiak bear is a BAD idea. Use the zoom for bear.........
