On Sunday, 2/24, while I was on an airplane from Newark NJ to Omaha NE, my DH Curtis fell over some sidewalk construction at the local convenience store and inconveniently fractured his humerus -- upper arm near shoulder/rotator. He's having surgery on Thursday to correct it. Please send some prayers and warm wishes his way!

What a family I have! Mother-in-law with Alzheimer's, son with autism, daughter with bulimia and alcoholism and now DH with a broken arm! Hey, some days you just have to laugh!

My MIL had Alzheimers, too. And, I have a son w/ mental retardation & mental illness. If you ever need to vent, feel free to PM me. I can totally relate to that comment about having to laugh!

Awwww Judy. It does sound like you have more than your fair share. However, God does not give any of us more than we can handle with his help. God has very broad shoulders and He will carry you and your entire family through all of these trials. I pray for healing, health and peace for you and yours. Hugs.

Judy please give your husband a special hello from me coz we can empathise with eachother right now. I am so fed up with my broken arm. I see the orthopedic clinic on friday but I'm sure I don't need any corrective treatment. Being in a cast is no fun but we are both lucky we have wonderful partners to look after us. We'd be lost without the likes of you Judy.

I am greatful that I didn't break my writing/dominant arm or a leg though.

Gosh Judy, you sure have been given quite the load. It just shows how much that Big Guy thinks of you...you're super strong for being such a little thing.

That being said, be sure to take some time for yourself. Not just with your exercise! Quiet moments to breath...a few moments with a magazine or book. I do adore you and respect your strength.
