HELLO ONE AND ALL. WELL TODAY IS ABOUT 2 WEEKS OF THE 5DPT. I HAVE BEEN VERY GOOD.EATING PROTEIN FIRST.EATING 3 MEALS A DAY.INBETWEEN ILL HAVE MAYBE A PROTEIN SHAKE OR A PROTEIN BAR.AFTER ALL THIS TIME,THE SCALE JUST STARTED TO MOVE THIS AM.IT WENT DOWN 3 LBS. THE SCALE WASNT MOVING BUT BOY LET ME TELL YOU THAT MY BODY SURE IS CHANGING.FOR THE GOOD THAT IS.WELL JUST WANTED TO GET NTHIS OFF MY CHEST.TAKE CARE ALL.LOVE READING THOSE POST.DEBBIE cool0010.gif

I hear ya! Who can explain what our bodies are up to sometimes? All I can say NANA is that you're on the right track and as long as we're doing what we know is right our bodies will react accordingly "evertually".

I have a classic case of being confused the other week when I broke my arm. I couldn't do my usual 3 mornings at Curves, 2 x 15km bike rides and 1km swim that I do each week of course and for the first two weeks I did no exercise but I still lost 6.5 pound!! How?! Crazy! Now that I've been back at the gym (not Curves) for 2 weeks I've hardly lost a thing. Talk about frustrating. I just keep on doing what I'm doing and wait for my body to do it's "thang".

I'm sure there are a lot of explanations that people can offer as I've read a lot of words of wisdom on this type of subject before but I guess in a lot of ways it will still remain a mystery.

Just keep on keeping on and we'll get there cool0012.gif

Oh yeah.......just to add to the confusion. I weighed myself this morning at 6am like I do every morning and I'd gained 800gm since yesterday. Thats about 2 pounds. Now as I usually do I just pushed the scales away and said "Stupid scales" hehehe. I also thought "Well that'll teach you to eat those sweets on Wednesday" (Thats another story) OK so I went back to bed (Good Friday here already). I had a lovely sleep in til 9am which is a biggy for me. I usually get up at 5.30 to go to the gym. Anyway, for some stupid reason I weighed myself again when I had a shower and I'd lost 500gms!!! (About 1.5 pds) Is that confusing or what??!! hehehe And before anyone asks, no I didn't go potty inbetween.

This is a perfect example of why we shouldn't get too tied up with what the scales say. I know we love to see the readings going down but we have to try and detached our emotions from them. Easier said than done I know.

Have a great Easter and try not to stay confused for too long.

I'm with you !!! I figured it out and Ive been an angel for 5 weeks now..only lost the initial 10 lbs from the 5 DPT but my clothes feel better and I feel better..but I get the "wishing" we could see qualitative data....
