the past week ive had alot of head hunger. I also dont have that full feeling anymore. at 20 weeks out shouldnt I still get that full feeling? Do you think I streched out my pouch already?
Sareena
Have you tried the 5dpt yet? That might get you back on track again and give you that 'full' feeling your missing!! wub.gif

Perhaps you should post what you eat in a day? That way we could see if this is due to your menu or if it is emotional.

Lost,

First off, sign0016.gif to the neighborhood!!!!! You'll find a wealth of experience to draw from here. I hope it helps you.

There are a lot of reasons something like this can happen. My advice is Stop scaring yourself. I can tell you this because I've had to say it to myself so many times over the last 15 mos.. From what I've been told and read, the pouch doesn't stretch out to more than about 5 oz. .

Try going back to an earlier eating stage. Like when you were first post op. Stay on it a few days and see what happens.

My final piece of advice is relax and be good to yourself. You've been through a lot. Do the things for yourself that calm you and get you centered again.

Have a wonderful day, sweetie!

Lee, what a great response!

Try to sort through why your head might be hungry. Is your soul hungry? Maybe you need to fill it with something rich and special...like a great book, or religion, or be creative with a hobby, or have a tea party with friends...lots to do to "fill" up!

Welcome Lost and congrats on your success so far!!

The head hunger is normal for alot of us but you have to NOT listen to it...I agree with Lee....maybe go back to basics...the hardest part is that by the time we are 20 weeks out...for sure we are eating pretty normal stuff and its easy to get caught in eating slider foods. (carbs, sweets etc)

I'm not saying you are but I know for me...at one month out...I was testing the waters..NOT GOOD!

So try to go back to basics....eat the lean protien...it will satiate you more and drink lots of water!

Also, as kim stated....try to find something ELSE to do!!

Lastly but not LEAST! Counseling is always good! Because as we know....the issues that may be driving the eating are what got us here in the first place. The surgery doesnt cure out head!

I whole heartedly BELIEVE that we could ALL use some counseling and I KNOW that it has helped me IMMENSLY throughout my life and STILL TODAY!!

I feel that it has helped me be SUCCESSFUL in keeping the weight off at 4 years out!

GOOD LUCK TO YOU and KUDO's to YOU for listening to your body, brain and reaching out for HELP!

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

I know it's probably a little freaky, but I agree with what everyone has said. 1) you haven't stretched your pouch out, 2) go back to the beginning. Are you sure you're drinking all your water? Are you getting enough protein in? Track your food daily to make sure your getting enough of everything and no too much of the bad stuff. No pasta, crackers, bread...stay away from those for a while and go back to the tried and true protein protein protein.

That being said, I know you know all of what I just said. But seriously, don't freak out. You're fine. The other posters might be right, perhaps it's just head hunger and your mind/soul is looking for something. Start a new hobby, maybe try exercising more, start reading but do it outside of the house. Go back to the beginning, baby steps, and you'll work it all out. Your pouch still works, you just have to give it what it needs.

Good luck!! nature-smiley-001.gif
