Hello all, I happened to stumble onto this website. It looked very interesting so I signed up. I was banded on March 10,2008 and so far so good. I haven't had any pain or anything. Not even from gas. I guess I am lucky. I had so many co morbidities that my quality I life was not much. I have been looking into this for some time and finally decided it was for me. I feel better now. Like a new person. I even have a new outlook on life. Maybe as I progress I will come off of some meds. Already came off of diabetic meds. This website looks to be very informative. We look forward to joining you in your new and exciting journey. Keep us posted on your progress won't you?

Kind wishes

Hello Pat, I read your intro and It is my understanding that you had the Lapband. I am considering the Lapband to be placed in May 2008. I am nervous, but I know I need to do something and I will. Can you tell me a lil more about your experience prior and post op. How much weight have you lost and what was your your starting weight. I weigh 248pds now and feel miserable. Thank God I dont have any outlying health problems, just elevated pressure, but I know that If I dont get my weight under control, that will change. Thanks for your help and advice in advance. Trac

Hi Pat and Trac!

I am a Bandito and I have been banded since Aug '07. I am so glad you've had an easy time of it, Pat. And Trac, I am just finishing up a Library FAQ for Band People, although I don't know if it has been posted yet.

Have you been to the Forum Bandit Buddies?

There is some info there related to Lap band people, but the majority of it you will find out amongst the rest of the crowd. We are only different in a few delicate ways.

Keep reading, Post your questions and get to know everyone... I am so glad you've joined us!
