I am so excited to say that I have lost few pounds I was up since joining the gym! I took the 100 minus 5 plus challenge this past week and I am now down to my lowest since doing the 5dpt!!! I went thru my closet and found clothes I hadn't worn in 2 yr or so and was able to fit them. boy did that feel good. Found lots of clothes I cant wear or dont care to wear too. So I listed them on the swap. I am so excited to be bk downthose 6 lbs!! I hid my scale this past week and hadnt weighed in a week. I was kinda nervous about getting on it. I put it bk under the cabinet and will pull it out nxt monday. Its just too stressful for me to weigh everyday and if its up a bit it throws me way off, and I want to pick up bad eating habits to make myself feel better!!
I read on here somewhere, (forgive me for not remembering who said it) To think about your food choice as working towards a goal. HOw is this choice gonna help me get to goal? If it doesnt then dont eat it. This really helped me this week!! I was able to avoid alot of bad food choices thinking is this gonna get me closer to these last 30 lbs. !!

I think you're right about not weighing everyday, I know for myself it puts me in a real shame cycle and that ALWAYS takes me straight back to food.

Dee, it is wonderful to see you take control and head forward. I like it that you are able to put away the scale. So many people really allow the scale to determine how they will act and what choices they will make all day. Once a week gives you a nice surprise! I am glad that you are now confident and moving forward!

That's just great Dee! I just read that you should put your "skinny" jeans on every Friday to gauge how your weight is doing. Jeans don't lie! If they are snug, wear them all weekend so you are reminded to keep your food choices in check. Nobody ever wants to eat heavy things when they've got tight jeans on. Remember going to the buffet with your "stretchy" pants on??? That was what I did!

Thanks everybody!! I do feel great!! And I have learned my lesson about the scale. It will sit under the cabinet and make a debut only once aweek on Mon. I was so happy to step on the scale and actually see it go down. I have a personal training sesson at the gym tonight so I look forward to finding out exactly what I need to be doing to get the body that I want!

Did my 1st personal training sesson today! He showed me a great work out! I did 30 mins of eliptical, then abs upside down crunches 2 sets of 15 then 2 sets of 15 each side leg crossed crunch to opposite knee. then we did legs hamstring curl and quad 2 sets of 15 alternate. oh then we did arms 2 sets each arm curl and 2 sets hammer curl. I am pooped. still have to cook something for dinner and get a shower! I burned 400 cals on eliptical so all in all a great work out. I have another pt sess. wed and circuit tomw. Looking forward to wrking hard and seeing that scale move down again mon!
